I'm having trouble at the Green Houses at Casa Nueva. I managed to get the Followers to make the insecticide. According to Wiki, i'm supposed use it on some consainer of water or a scarecrow, but no matter what I use it on, it seems to give me the message "That does nothing."

I downloaded the downloader, but somehow when I ran the installer using Wine emulator the ".local" folder that eventually leads to the Steam folder, the .local folder doesn't show up. It seems to be hidden.

That explains alot. I tweaked the resolutions to 1920x1080 which is the same resolution as my monitor with the graphics setting at six. It still crashes despite being the same setting as the HRP, but it looks like we're getting close to finding this out. Can you upload a file if that's ok...

I have the two ini files here. Also I downloaded the above link and had it installed even after installing direct x properly. Still no luck. The resolution is set to 1920x891

I tried, it. One of the links is dead. As a result I attempted the virtual box route, but sadly got the same result. Odd. Something must be wrong with the program itself. What would you recommend?

Gave it a shot and added all of the overrides to Winetricks you listed above. Even downloaded the 4 DDL files individually. Still the results are the same. I tried both the 64 and 32 bit versions, but no luck.

There seems to be only two DDL's in the Last Hope download. Ddraw.dll. and f2_res.dll. I openned up the Direct 10 Runtime and there was quite a few files. I added _42 and 43 to winetricks over ride, but get the same result. I was able to get through with Forgotten Knight and asked him...

Any update? I made a post on the Last Hope thread and stated how the game won't start despite Winetricks being configured properly.

I tried giving this mod a go before going to bed tonight, but it gave me the error "Game Initialization failed" despite me setting wine tricks to override ddraw and f2-res Am I missing something? Maybe something else needs to be done with this mod to play it on Linux.

I've started playing since yesturday, but for some reason the none of the attack's during combat make any sound. It's rather odd. The characters still make noise when hit, but the weapons don't. That's one weird bug. Any advice?
