Sorry about the confusion. What I meant was he could design his own, not just have to use his e-mail.

Usernames are unique, no need for e-mail. In fact multiple people can have the same username. It's not that developed of a game search engine, very basic. Just to remind you I'm EST time, another one of us is mountain time, can't remember the others...there are a couple folks in Polish timezone...

    FO3 or FO: NV?

You wouldn't have even known about this thread if I didn't report Lyra's post, and you're telling ME to cut out the personal attacks?

    FO3 or FO: NV?

I quoted myself to bring to your attention things you were too lazy or incompetent to read. And you still don't get it. I stand by what I said about your level of intelligence.

    FO3 or FO: NV?

It's funny how you guys hijack your own threads. You don't know much about marketing then. FNV creators had two years to watch the development of Fallout 3's modding community and find out what features might be in demand from the playerbase. The modding community gave them a source of free...

    FO3 or FO: NV?

Remarkable. It's like talking to a wall. Here's what the 'point' of the thread is, as stated on the first page: For those who enjoy FO3 ( I know a lot of you hate it), which game do you prefer? New Vegas or FO3, and why? If anyone is missing the point, it's YOU. See what I said...

    FO3 or FO: NV?

I didn't say FO3 was better in every way. Just that I enjoy playing it more with the setup I have going. You don't think it is relevant to point out that a DT system with special ammo types being used by only one side completely breaks the game balance it is intended to enforce? That is just...

    FO3 or FO: NV?

I see your point since the new Fallouts weren't specifically designed for PC. Since I play (and have only played) both on PC, I do incorporate mods. I would never have any reason to go back and play either version in its vanilla form beyond the first playthrough. So that is indeed the lens I...

    FO3 or FO: NV?

I'm new to these boards. Do people normally cuss each other out over disagreement on preference, on a poll thread of all? Is there a moderator here to deal with this pomp jackass? If not, here's my responses: 'It worked better.' You're stating something as fact when it is a matter of...

Why do people prefer Fallout 2 over Fallout 1?

I did play FO2 before FO1 but for me the primary reasons why FO2 is better is because of the game's depth. There was so much other than the main quest to do in the majority of towns. It didn't feel that way in FO1. I didn't like, for example, the fact that Junktown revolved around that one...

We're gonna have to do this on weekends. That is 3 AM - 8 AM my time (EST). Definitely doesn't work for me. I am going to be starting a new job soon so weekdays will be out by weekends are the best time and weeknights are doable as well in general (though you might not be on). I use gameranger.

Just to clear up - you mean you're available at a time OTHER than 12 am - 5 am? You said you work graveyard shifts so I wasn't sure. I am EST, so that is a pretty convenient time zone for me.

    FO3 or FO: NV?

I voted Fallout 3. If we were comparing pure vanilla then FNV is better, but I think that is an unfair comparison when you consider the fact that: A.) Fo3 is a way more moddable game (the empty desert allows for NPC patrol mods, new cities/towns, landmarks etc). FNV has everything too...

This is what we came up with today: -We started with Steam messaging and then moved to Teamspeak (will post the address when I know that's OK) -We used GameRanger as a launch platform which worked ok. had trouble with direct IP address connections -We found 2 other people on GameRanger...

Wow, hahaha...that website is still active huh. Those rulesets do bring back members and I do remember SoTP. As far as communication, and what venue to use to play on - we are discussing that this morning. I will have further details in a few hours.

Ok. It wasn't quite a half a page (I forgot many things I am only remembering now) but I recommend anyone inexperienced go over all of this to be effective in MP. It'd also be a worthwhile read for anyone interested in knowing what FoT MP was like when it was popular.

Yes EST observes daylight savings time. Don't worry, I'll be around tomorrow for this.

Ok - would like to offer my suggestions here for next steps. 1. edit: Nevermind, I never realized until now MSN messenger was moved to skype. We need some kind of message service or chat feature to get this started and see who all we have. 2. I will type up a short, half page 'cheat sheet'...

Kilus sounds like someone I may have played with - what was his GSA name? A lot of us did prefer the MP demo before the game came out for those reasons of balance. That lack of balance has a lot to do with why rules are usually set, because MF/Interplay was too lazy to do it themselves. There...
