Basically, as long as there's a purist, bugfix only version, I'm good. I'm a bit hesitant about the switch to the new engine, but we'll see how it goes. This patch hasn't disappointed so far.

Are you sure you selected the right version to install those files? The 'fixes only' option won't add those in, you might want to re-install the patch and make sure those changes are selected.

Excellent! That just leaves the random typos and cases where subtitles didn't match speech. If I have time, and if you want, I can go through the entire script to hunt down anything left, but I think I listed the main ones that were notable.

Is there a tool or method that allows one to add characters back into ones party? For some reason, in my latest run, I've lost my wife and Cassidy, and really cannot start over from the beginning. I tried checking out the GVAR's with f2se, but didn't see anything obvious.

I'd be interested in learning WHY the game crashs for the one error I listed involving blowing up a force field near the end-game. That's going to be the most interesting fix, I think.
