So, can we talk about what Fallout 4 does well?

Characters are good for the most part. They might use a bit more lines, but they are solid memorable characters. This game has the best writing and characters I have ever seen in any Bethesda's game, so they did try to improve and partly succeeded. The only downside in my books is this whole old...

If you had to choose TWO things Fallout 4 did RIGHT, what would they be?

    1. For Bethesda's game the characters are surprisingly good. They might not have a depth and backstory I want, but what they show is good. Theres definitely improvement. 2. Power armor. I never used that in F3 and Vegas because it felt weak and unrealistic, now it looks and works like it...

    First Impression of Fallout 4

The kid is stupid alright, but at least he's not an arrogant, hateful asshole. That's something.

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

Huge open world sandbox that isn't GTA is pretty special. I have no special love for that company, but their games are unique and fun to play (after patching and with mods, that is). Even if people here think that Fallout 3, Skyrim and Oblivion where shit they must agree it was a unique type of...

Betheseda MIGHT be learning from there mistakes

Well this probably is the first Fallout where power armor is somewhat realistic, so "magic power core" is a bit unfair. Now it is a bulky metal shell stuffed with electronics and requiring fuel not just a magic metal skin that fits in protagonists backpack and runs on fairy dust like it was in...

    First Impression of Fallout 4

Fallout 4 has a lot of problems, but so far it seems like a fun game and after a few patches and shitload of mods it might even be great. Granted if you go in expecting to find something like Fallout 2 or New Vegas you will be disappointed.

Betheseda MIGHT be learning from there mistakes

To be fair in Fallout 2 you could beeline to Navarro and find power armor in a closet.

    First Impression of Fallout 4

I got to level 4 playing for couple of hours this Sunday evening. Did Klamath's quests went straight for Den and hit level 4 after doing that quest chain where you have to kill church guarding gang. I think that might vary from person to person, depending how fast they do things in game. Still...

    A Lack of Skill?

Maybe in Fallout 3 you can via unbalanced perks and those bobbleheads, but, if I remember correctly, in Fallout 2 and I presume Fallout 1 too there was only few attribute points you could get while playing. Besides it defeats the purpose of attributes being something you are born with vs. skills...

    First Impression of Fallout 4

23 hours of playing a game is not that fast for level 18. Its like 2 days of playing while not doing much else (assuming he at least slept).

    A Lack of Skill?

In my opinion attributes are thing they needed to drop. Its so restrictive and unrealistic. In real life people can be very strong (usually paired with endurance) and charismatic and lucky and intelligent and perceptive, maybe not as agile if they are big and bulky. In every Fallout game its...
