Interplay announced today that they are well into the process of making a Fallout-themed expansion to EA's game, using original Fallout as well as Van Buren assets:<blockquote>This "Sims:Livin' Underground" mod will enable Fallout fans for the first time ever to create and simulate their own nuclear family in the comfortable, controlled environments of an underground Vault. Online play capability is of course included. We are aiming for a Summer 2009 release, and after that, look out for further downloadable expansions."</blockquote>

With shame I must admit, I'd play it.
Oh god that'd be great. A fallout based expansion for Sims. Hell, just post apoc would be great. You could try to rebuild your ruined town, dress it up, etc. Then you could get a job like farmer or scavenger. They could add a defense system so instead of a burgler your hut gets stormed by raiders trying to kill you.

Having played a bit of sims 2 it would not be impossible to make a vault, fill it with fallout themed furniture that keeps generations of dwellers alive and play that scenario. I've seen people do crazier stuff in that game.
