Another "Fair and Balanced" video

note it's past -fucking- tense. i dont see how the fuck this is a big deal, except for assholes with a 2 second attentionspan who'll rip it out of context?

(i'm not a McCain lover or anything btw)

McCain makes great fries, so it would stand to reason that you Begian guys love him.

Now, put some fries in this thread to make it noteworthy.

The deal is that they edited the video before they archived it on their website. They doctor all kinds of shit to make "their" republican nominee look like a saint.

Here's another example of them doctoring their program to appeal to their interests:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3BDvfAf2c4

Bascially, if you watch Fox News, stop that shit right now. Actually, don't watch any television news channel because almost all of them are owned by this extremist right-wing asshole(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rupert_Murdoch) anyway.

How the hell do you think Bush won a 2nd term?

EDIT:

EDIT X2:
Well, I was going to wait for someone to retort, but I'm about to get off of work, so here it is:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,331428,00.html

EDIT x3:
I love how they mention how much Cindy McCain loves her country in both reports:
http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/0...-shes-proud-of-my-country-for-the-first-time/

Is it possible he meant he didn't fully appreciate his country and what his country offered until he realised it was a pretty good place to live because of his experience as a POW?

No, he really didn't love us, at all.

Fox news is entertaining, at least. It's like Hollywood's version of World History, the Movie only with live outtakes.

I'm not a yank so it doesnt really concern me, but its fairly obvious its the old "you dont know how good you have it until you loose" analogy.

And besides who really "loves" a country anyway, its just a PR word to get votes much like kissing babies.

EHEM....

You know, if you think this does anything to anyone.

But if you want to go down this road

Obama in October 2007 said:
"You know, the truth is that right after 9/11, I had a pin(flag pin)," Obama said. "Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we're talking about the Iraq War, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security, I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest.

Not that I fly a flag on my shirt ether. But that I believe Obama is a typical politician who will do anything and say anything to get elected.

McCain... well he's not considered conservative enough for hard core republicans. But they sure as hell don't want Obama.

I like consistency, so I know exactly what the BS is.

Ah, the flag pin thing again. I love it how Americans constantly talk about non-issues during elections. No wonder Junior got elected two times.

Is this really a big deal? You don't know for sure why the interview was edited - all you can do is assume it was becuase of that statement (which was nothing anyways).

Besides - Like CNN wouldn't do the same shit. Wake up. Your never going to get political news that is 100% perfect and unbiased.

It wouldn't if it didn't go to his character. He didn't wear a pin because of the Iraq war. He now wears a pin? Does he now support the war? Because thats what HE said the pin meant to him. Symbols have meaning.

As I said, the pin means nothing to me. Its what the pin supposedly means to him that means something to me.

This is the least of things he's done.

He's said he doesn't want to take guns out of the hands of hunters in one place, then in another he says we shouldn't have guns in another. For one example.

He went to Revrend Wright's church for years and didn't hear any of that bigotry?

He says he supports gays, but voted for the constitutional amendment for a standard of marriage between a man and a woman?

It's not about the issues. Because you cannot tell what he truly believes about the issues. His character blatantly shows this.

He's charismatic. That's pretty unique for an American president these days.

No shit?

Fox News is the most outrageous out of all of them. It just erks me that more Americans watch that bullshit than any other news outlet. There's just something that bothers me about their slogan "Fair and Balanced"

When was the last time a MSNBC anchor had to apologize for claiming a presidential nominee was "terrorist fist jab"-bing their wife? And did you even look up Rupert Murdoch?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2003/feb/17/mondaymediasection.iraq

It's kind of odd that all 175 of his newspapers supported the Iraq war.

Most revealing of all was Murdoch's reference to the rationale for going to war, blatantly using the o-word. Politicians in the United States and Britain have strenuously denied the significance of oil, but Murdoch wasn't so reticent. He believes that deposing the Iraqi leader would lead to cheaper oil. "The greatest thing to come out of this for the world economy...would be $20 a barrel for oil. That's bigger than any tax cut in any country."

He went even further down this road in an interview the week before with America's Fortune magazine by forecasting a postwar economic boom. "Once it [Iraq] is behind us, the whole world will benefit from cheaper oil which will be a bigger stimulus than anything else."

I mean, WHAT THE FUCK?

Oh, but it's cool. All "Fair and Balanced" news programs are biased.

And today the 2nd Amendment held up by only 5-4. 5-4?! It's awesome how our constitutional rights are in the hands of 9 people, 4 of whom obviously don't give a fuck about what our constitution says.

EDIT:
Oh, yeah. Where the hell is my $20 barrel of oil?

To be honest, I generally get my news from NPR in the morning, the BBC also in the morning and evening, and then, on occasion MSNBC or CNN. I can't watch Fox. It's just too stupid.

I suspect that the election will only get uglier over the next few months. The Republicans (although not McCain directly) will raise fears about Obama- (he's a muslim! He's black? He will do a reverse Apartheid and enslave the whites.... yeah right...) and Obama will get hammered. At the same time, McCain will get hit as well.

One thing- they should make the wives off limits. I suspect the Republicans have more to lose with Cindy McCain then the Democratics will over Michelle Obama.

As for McCain, there are days I suspect he's misunderstood-

Whether Fox edited it or not is a non issue. The liberal media (Everyone else) routinely does the same thing; only in favor of the dems. The corporate sponsored media spinning/editing something shouldn't shock you.

All that aside, it really doesn't matter either way: Obama is unelectable. He literally has zero experience doing ANYTHING besides sitting on his ass (and being payed by you and I for it), attending a radical anti-white/anti-american church, and preaching bullshit to the gullible college crowd.

In the post 9/11 era, can you see "President of the United States of America : Barack Hussein Obama"? Fuck no, ain't happening.

Holy fuck, did I just tune into Fox News?

Because Barack hasn't been a state legislator or in the Senate, right?

Meh. Go ahead and vote for McCain. I hope your children get drafted to Iran.
