Anyone know anything about HD TVs?

My mom is getting my Dad one for his 50th birthday in a few weeks. It got me thinking that in a year or so I'll be able to afford one of my own. My question is: Can I hook up my NES/ SNES/ Sega/ 64 to those big as motherfuckers? And If I do - will playing on it fuck it up? I know your not supposed to play em on projection TV's but what about plasma?
 
Playing a N64 has been no trouble on a 50" plasma display. Have not tried my Atari Jaguar or SegaCD on it yet
 
You guys still have that old technology laying around, huh? Shit, I threw mine away when I was like 9. Mostly because most of them were broke though; my NES even had a dead frog inside it.

The idea of antique value, of course, didn't hit me until years after that.

I don't have any of my original shit. I go to an AZ used book store [bookmans] and they sell old systems and games for dirt cheap.

No, it won't fuck it up. Yes you can hook them, using composite connections, image will be pure SD though.

I had a similar plan, though it involved becoming a being of pure electricity by sticking my finger into a lamp while it was on...

I woke up five minutes later with a pounding headache and my right arm feeling numb.

We executed ours. First with firecrackers then with black gunpowder, then sledgehammers and then a fire. And so goes an afternoon. Ahh to be a child again. So much entertainment in so little destruction.

Oh and my plan for capturing the world was to become king of Norway and make everyone go into the military and become soldiers(yes I would get the princess in the process). And in an unspecified way this military would be the best in the world. I think I was supposed to be a super-smart scientist at the same time and give them all superweapons and transformer robots they could control. This was before I found out that I had to actually work to do it. Good thing I never thought of the whole electric idea.
