Beautiful Game / best RPG of all time

The fucking mods I have for Skyrim make the game look better then this so called "remaster". Wonder if the PC port for Skyrim's remaster is going to be as bad as Bioshock's.

What enb did you use, and your spec? it seems in my case, r9 380 and season of skyrim doesnt go well with each other.

I don't use ENB's as they are annoying as all hell to get working. The graphics and texture mods I have make Skyrim look beautiful and give it a vast improvement visual wise.

I believe this is relevant.

Textures look... decent. Miles behind what Renthal's retextures though, but I guess they'd be too much for the consoles to handle so it's understandable. I'm a bit disappointed by the sort of ENB they did though. It seemed way more pronounced in the trailer, with a lot of godrays, bloom and an actual palette. Oh well. The depth of field is very basic, but it seems to -finally- hide the horrible LOD, so that's nice. Hope I'll still be able to use an ENB though, some of them truly make Bethesda's games beautiful, even by today's standards.

(TAZ enb for example)
Really, the graphics don't seem too relevant for a PC version, considering what you can obtain with the nexus. What seems relevant to me is the 64bits engine though. However, I actually don't think it has been confirmed anywhere that Skyrim will now be 64bits. Could anyone confirm?

Besides the slight graphic upgrade didn't this fix the ram and such so you didn't need certain "mods"? It is a good thing for the people who get it for free but i would not buy it since i have the original myself.

@mithrap What's your spec, and that looks pretty. Did you also use parallax texture?

Well 64 bit could mean more stability i think.....or Increased Ai actor capacity. other than that not much. We are talking about an engine that could not handdle simple ladder AI afterall

Oh, that's not a screenshot from me, it's from TAZ enb nexus page. I use another one, Silent Hill ENB with tweaked settings and the depth of field from Bleak ENB. Looks good, sharpens the textures pretty well and it gives the "legacy of kain, dark fantasy" atmosphere I was looking for. Yes, with enable parallax in the settings. Really worth it btw, Parallax is surprisingly lightweight on performance.

I did try TAZ Enb though, and it's definitely an amazing one if not one of the best, if tweaked correctly. I just didn't like how sharp and bright the game turned out, but that's just a matter of taste. I managed to make it run quite smoothly with a i5-4460 CPU, 3.2GHz, 16GB RAM and a AMD Radeon R9 200.
Stable FPS most of the time, except in crowded areas where it sometimes dropped a bit, but I suspect the script heavy mods rather than the graphics/ENB, really. They cost more on performance than everything else, which speaks volume about Papyrus' stability...

your spec is almost similiar to mine, except i have r9 380 4gb. Hmm..maybe season of skyrim were not designed for my card. Yeah i'm really aware of memory leak in enb version. Maybe 2k texture + enb isn't smart? :(

As said, it mostly depends on the script heavy mods you use. Incompatibilty and heavy script usage deals much more in your memory than the graphical mods, in the end. That, and all the stability tweaks possible can really help, except for the "crash fix" mod, which only made things worse for me. A proper config of the available memory in your enblocal also makes miracles.
I also had good results with "Swiftshader .DLL setup for FPS boost". Could be a placebo effect, or a good luck, but my game is now quite stable. Normally, you should be able to run any ENB with your card. Least, I think so.

DonProtein published two articles about a proper modding guide, step by step. Except for the "crash fix" (don't download it, really, it messes everything up), it seems to be the best guide for a stable Skyrim out there. Also, keep away from the civil war overhauls, I think, unless these are the only script mods you want to use.

Oh, and cap the FPS below 60 by tweaking the enblocal (or the enbseries, not sure now). There's a line for it. Above 60 fps, your game will crash and fast, no matter your mods and your specs.
