I don't really have anything of interest to say about it, I'm just gonna dump shit I find in here. Anyone here have strong opinions for or against BLM?

My opinion is going to be largely unpopular either side, but I believe the overall message is good, stating that there is an issue with race on America and that needs to be addressed.

However, the issue with a group like this, is that there are people going overboard, whether it be from the leaders of a number of people who see this as a way of causing shit.

It doesn't help the cause at all, and I do want to separate those have legit concerns and want to start change and those who see it as a way of attacking a race of people.

Even if the leaders have more malicious intentions, the overall message of the group needs to be the focus.

Part of the issue is due to the class system in America, and a lot of it is down to many black people being apart of it.
The point is that in many lower class communities, schools are under funded meaning many students don't get an education, those teenagers also have to find other groups of people and tend to latch onto those who commit violent crimes, earning respect and making money.

Many of them can't get a decent job due to education being so poor. And while this isn't exclusively to black people, many of them bare the brunt of it.

It's not as easy as putting out one data full of statistics and I know there are people out there who are a lot smarter than me who have the specific stats on this plus a bunch of other arguments.

It's an issue of perspective

he study, published in the March 2016 edition of the Race and Social Problems journal, found that poor black males were nearly four times more likely to commit crime than poor white males, and that poor Hispanics were not far behind.

The results showed, said the paper, that the “chances of incarceration in America are always higher for blacks than for whites or Hispanics, regardless of their level of wealth.”

Titled “Race, Wealth and Incarceration: Results from the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth,” the paper was prepared by Khaing Zaw, Statistical Research Associate at Duke University; Darrick Hamilton from The New School Department of Economics, New York; and William Darity, Professor Public Policy, African and African American Studies, and Economics, at Duke University.

Zaw is Chinese, and Hamilton and Darity are black, so there can be no credence given to accusations of “white bias” in this study.

Although obviously set up with the intention of proving some sort of “discrimination,” the study was instead left with an inexplicable—for them, at least—fact: that when all socioeconomic factors are equal, nonwhites still have significantly higher crime rates than whites.

It is a searing indictment on the prized liberal core belief that higher nonwhite crime rates are always the result of “poverty” brought about by “white racism.”

The study analyzed data from the US Bureau of Labor’s 1979 National Longitudinal Study of Youth, which was a longitudinal project that followed the lives of a sample of American youth born between 1957–64. It originally included 12,686 respondents ages 14–22 when first interviewed in 1979; after two subsamples were dropped, 9,964 respondents remain in the eligible samples.

Children commit crime because they lack morals and not just because of the environment they live in, according to a new study.

Cambridge University studied around 700 young people in Peterborough for over a decade and discovered that most adolescent crime is not just youthful opportunism.

In fact, while it is agreed that urban environments trigger some young people to commit crime, it is their morality which is the biggest factor.

Other teenagers remain highly resistant to committing crime - regardless of the circumstances.

Reminds me of a vid I saw about this rich YouTuber who claimed his wealth didn't make him privileged and that white homeless folk have more privilege than he does.

Yeah I saw that too. In fact, come to think of it, a lot of these people who scream about "privilege" are people who are very wealthy and well off.
 
What rubs me the wrong way is that there are couple of hundreds people shot by American police every year. White, red, yellow, black, and perhaps even green or pink! If any true American sees this as some injustice being committed by American government on fellow Americans, he should have protested against this injustice as a whole. Trying to exclude just black folks from the process without giving any shit about other folks seems to be pretty much racist to me.
 
If they say "BLM" but "fuck everyone else", it's another stupid divisive "movement" from idiots that feel important by doing "justice", saying shit from the comfort ability of their house and Internet or by killing police men treacherously. Hell, the police chief Brown in Dallas is black
I doubt that ANY of this people would move a finger for "justice" in the Apartheid.
