Were there any characters in the game that suck with you as being particularly good or bad? And for what reasons?
As much as I think voiceacting hurts games at times, I think Mr House is a character that greatly benefits from the voiceacting. You can get a lot of backstory and such from him if you help out and if you're working against him, putting him down is one of the more satisfying things in the game I think.
Chief Hanlon is also a character that really comes to life through the acting and makes him stand out. And I haven't even completed the quest that involves him.
Cass was a lotta fun to have along, just for ass-kickery attitude. She had some really funny lines I think. Her VA wasn't great though but pretty servicable still.
As for the bad, well... I'd have to say that Mr Fantastic is one of those "this... this guy!" type of characters, similar to Myron, though that's not bad in itself I suppose.
Many of the NCR people, while having their own backstories, really "blended together" after a while. The repeating voices don't help.
The Legion dude in Cottonwood Cove (I think), Aurelius something? One of the more extreme examples of how wrong the whole cosplay Roman douchebaggery can go. Looked very silly and his entire conversation seemed to be rather bad.
Legate Lanius, while looking surprisingly badass, doesn't even feel like he fits in within the Legion. Why on earth would Caesar choose this guy as a successor?
Also, if you work for the Legion, the first time you see him (when he sacrifices people) is a real "they tried to make him badass but only ended up making him feel stupid" moment. Same as the build-up when you converse with people around the camp. Like the trader who said Lanius killed a brahmin just for standing in his way.
I mean, that's not terrifying... That's a temper tantrum on the same level as Saren having a hissy fit in the early parts of Mass Effect.
EDIT: Goddamn, posted this in the wrong section. If an admin would move this I'd be grateful.
