Cost of AAA games increasing.

Mr Fish

Slippy sloppy, The
Newest CoD is 80 Euro.

RDR 2, while on sale, states that its nonsale price is now 90 euro.
(I was wrong about this one, it is the ultimate edition that is on sale. However, funnily enough, usually the normal edition is on sale for 20 bucks but this time around it isn't on sale?)
((Maybe that's the fucky wucky actually. They want to increase the pricepoint but they know people will just wait for the base game to go on sale for 20 bucks so what if we just don't put the standard edition of the game on sale anymore and only put the ultimate edition on sale? That way we can still get those sale sales but get more money out of it as 31.5 euro (for ultimate on sale) is less than 60 euro (for standard edition who will now never go on sale)))

What's your thoughts on this going forward? We've seen others take the bait on increasing their pricepoint to 70 bucks as the "new standard" but it seems like Rockstar and Activision are ready to kick it up a notch already.

On Rockstar being weird, there is no option to just buy GTA5 apparently. The only options are to buy it in its bundles that forces its multiplayer crap on you for an inflated price.

There it is. I have no idea what the hell the "vault edition upgrade" is.

[edit]

Ooooooook.... I can't link to the store page for Blops 6 cause if I do it links to the "upgrade" for vault edition instead.
I think Steam's having a retard moment.

Are they good?
The only other beat em up I've ever played is The Warriors so this is not a genre I'm familiar with so for an introductionary game Yakuza Kiwami 1 is very good. Gameplay's solid. Main story is very cinematic and engaging. Sidestories are bizarre and can completely take you by surprise in how weird they get. And of course it is littered with optional minigames.

The whole series in on sale on Steam until Nov 7 so you got plenty of time to make a choice, I wouldn't advice buying the Complete Series bundle for 40 euro, you can always buy that later and complete the bundle. If you're interested in it try out Kiwami 1 first and see how you like it. If it doesn't hit you you only waste 11 euro. However if you plan on refunding it if you're uncertain by the 2 hour mark I'd advice not even bothering because it is the kinda game you're gonna have to sink at least 4 or 5 hours into until you know for certain whether or not it is for you. (I already owned the game for years due to Humble Bumble)

I've played Kiwami and 2 to completeion and I'm on Yakuza 0 right now, halfway through.
I'd say that storywise Kiwami 1 is probably the strongest but gameplay wise I like Kiwami 2 more, it's more streamlined.
Yakuza 0 is interesting and has fun parts but it is definitely weaker than the Kiwami games.

I should also mention that I am playing the games on Easy (because I have never played Beat Em Ups before so fuck if I know how to properly play them) and I just wanna chill really so I can't really comment on how fair the fighting system is as it rarely challenges me.

Oh and if you do decide to try em out, never ever equip something like the signed autobiography gear item. It makes enemies fucking insanely aggro on you. I was gonna rage quit Yakuza 0 until I figured out it was because of that stupid item.

Thanks for the review, mate. I'm not looking to buy them myself, but I've read quite a lot about them on Twitter, and they seem great.
