Your attention, please. Today at StrategyCore we are proud to present "Deep Rising - a tribute to X-Com", a unique digital comic featuring lavish art and accompanying original audio, all to be enjoyed entirely for free.

We've recruited some of Earth's finest - plain great human beings who also happen to be fantastically talented creative professionals - to make this dream of a full-fledged comic set in the world of X-Com a reality at long last.

I read the whole comic while being quite sleepy, saw a rather curious email in my email address, looked at what it is and woah. Was not expecting for the original X-Com to get this sort of treatment. At first I thought it's something about "XCOM 2" again but I was royally wrong and glad for it!

We started this project back in 2009, before the new XCOM game was announced. The intention was to show the X-Com setting from a different angle, to help reboot the interest in X-Com and hopefully start the ball rolling towards a new game. Little did we know Firaxis was already working on just that.

Anyway, glad you enjoyed it. Would appreciate some help spreading the word.
