Exceptional Ghoul Sharpshooter : Dillon (PE 14)

Gia Thai

First time out of the vault
He got PE 14 AND Sharpshooter. IS the game consider that bonus of the perk (+2 PE for the purspose of shooting) into equation when he shoot? or just waste it?

Cause I heard the racial limit of Ghoul is 14, so ... if the game add that bonus---> super great, I can use a sniper who can cascatrate a fly from 400 meter. If not -> what a waste of perk..

Gosh I love Dillon. long range sniper like him is so rare

IN Kansas, Dillon with 150 in SMG stood in the south wall and snipe to dead the first commander (who is with 2 grenadiers) . Farsight with 200 in SMG got less % in shooting him than Dillon. Even if snipers cant kill the target, they still provide cover fire (target must lie down to get away from those pinpricks) to the advancing heavy weapon specialists (HWS). In that map my 2 HWS (Brian and Jo) clear the map, but without covering fire they still got in trouble with 2 remaining SM Commanders. they still can kill those tangoes but chances are high that Brian or Jo will get showered with leads. Moral of the story: Snipers still rule in 2nd part of the game (when we gotta use big guns). If you cant kill them, keep them down so our big boys kill them.

And incidentally, does anyone got any idea about loot the body of the SM in the roof of the SE house nearest the south gate :?: ? I find it stranger that the map got a bunker on the roof but no way to go up.

I was wondering about that too.

Then again I'm pretty sure his not the only character you can't loot.
For example the Ghouls on teh Northern and western towers are seemingly impossible to loot in Kansas city also.

I got pissy at this even though I had more LMG dropped by the Super mutants then I could carry. Scavenger I am.

It would be possible for your character to get on the roof if it wasn't for the engine limitations, the roof is low enough to jump up and haul yourself over the edge. If the game had JA2's climbing options! In the game world would a supermutant really need a ladder to get up on that pissy little roof?

As for the towers, again it's due to engine limitations, even though the character sprites have climbing animations for four directions you can only climb up ladders from the two directions. But there are ladders up the side of those towers, so the Ghouls didn't just magically float up there.

Same goes for at least two of the guard towers at the prison in Quincy, they have ladders, but the game won't let you climb them.
