Fallout 2: items on the ground etc

Still Mildly Glowing
Fallout 2:
Well I was fighting my way through the military base, and I decided to drop off some gear so I have room to pick up more, and at the same time take a nap so my party and I can be at full health again. And now all the dead bodies are nothing but blood and most of the items they had are located "under" their blood. I've managed to grab some of the items, but a lot of them like the ammo and power fists are nowhere to be seen. I know they are there but I can't select them/pick them up. Is there anything shortcut keys/mod/info that might help me grab all the items. I'm a bit of a packrat and I really would prefer to pick them all up. Maybe I'm forgetting something? I've played this game a shit load but I never figured out how to correct this issue (picking up items under the blood).

I think that's just the way the engine draws things, similar to the 'floor' objects. The blood goes away after a while, so if you go sell some of your loot and come back, you should be able to get the rest.

Thank you. I'll see how it goes. You are probably right.

I had another question and I figured I'd just keep it all in one forum post to avoid any trouble:

While in Vault 13, after I completed all the missions and helped the deathclaws (btw, I'm using the Fallout 2 Restoration Project), I can't get Goris to join me. Its been awhile since I've played this great game, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I go through the entire conversation by asking him every question and being kind, I eventually asked them all, then I try to leave; then Goris tells me he still wants to hear my stories so I tell him; then dialog ends. I go back to him and he isn't interested in joining me.

Currently I have Vic with me, and the rest of the party members are parked elsewhere. I have Sulik, Vic, K9 dog from Navaro, Cassidy, Myron, and Lenny. I also completed all of Navaro.

Maybe I'm being ADHD-ish, but I remember that I used to be able to just pick him up and 2 weeks later he leaves to vault 13 and you find out that all the people/death claws in Vault 13 has been killed.

I have high Intelligence, Charisma and Reputation(Karma).

There has to be something I'm missing or I'm just being impaitient because it does give me the dialog along the lines of "Oh, Ok Goris, I guess you will reconsider sometime in the future". But I just want to know if I've done anything wrong. I'm a bit of a completest and I just want to have my good old friend Goris with me.

This is from The Nearly Ultimate Fallout 2 Guide:
Initially won't join you if your karma is below 0, you have a negative town reputation in Vault 13, or you are a Berserker or Childkiller. Will leave and return to Vault 13 if your karma falls below 0 or you become a Berserker or Childkiller. Won't rejoin you if your town reputation in Vault 13 is Hated or worse (i.e. you killed a few people).
So your karma is good but what about the other stuff?

I'm not a berserker or a Childkiller. I haven't killed anyone and I've been totally kind/nice to everyone in Vault 13. I'm going to try leaving and returning to the vault. I'll see how it goes. But everything mentioned in the Nearly Ultimate Fallout Guide is in the green. I'm also using Fallout Restoration project with the Goris mod installed as well.

I have Karma Beacon and Cult of Personality along with 106% speech. (and specifically 10 Charisma)

Edit: I think I may have figured it out. But I'm not sure how to fix it. I remember the last time I did this, we actually spoke about my stories/adventure, but this time it just ends the conversation and gives me the same option again to talk about it. I wish I knew how to fix this or maybe I'm again, forgetting something.

Rong.

Hey Per, I'd like to say your guide is amazing, but I want to know where the best place would be to report on some errors I've had using the Restoration Project/unoffical patch / other mods included in the installer.

I'd like to help Killap out.

Still having trouble with Goris but this could be cause I'm doing something wrong. But I have other issues that I believe to be errors not caused by me; in other words, bugs.

After I help NCR annex Vault 15, my parties members remain because I left them there, but the car I had parked there (to avoid the car hop from stealing from my trunk) is now gone and I can't find it.

Also, after I do the quests that involved Vault 15/NCR, when I go back to SF in China Town; my game hangs and eventually crashes. (though I do have other save games that don't do this)

I'd be willing to give great details that might help solve some of these problems and trouble shoot to help out.

I apologize if I'm not posting in correct section. I have tried using Google to fix these issues but nothing useful comes up except info regarding Vanilla Fallout 2.

Killap's patches/restoration have made Fallout 2 a lot more fun since I've played it many times without it.

I feel like a noob.:o

Usually when I played Fallout 2 I never specifically looked for things and I just followed the quests from town to town. But since I know where everything is, I think I may have broken some quests because I didn't bother doing the "starter" quests; I just went straight into certain places. Of course I try to finish ALL quests because I have mild OCD. But I'd like to either help out in reporting these errors or possibly find out if its me doing something wrong.

Thanks.

And what do you mean by Rong.? (I am using the "de-robing mod")
I did make sure I asked Goris every question before I asked him to join me.

If you want to report bugs etc, go here:
Unofficial Fo2 patch
Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.2 if you want help or discuss bugs in the RP.
Killap's Fallout 2 Restoration Project Wikia page Go to the F2RP Technical Info section to report bugs and to get a compressed list of them and some solutions. Be sure to check out the "Too Many Items Bug" part since that's most likely what is crashing your game in San Fran.
There is also a walkthrough there, based on Morticia's Guide, though I would go with Morticia's.

I think Per meant wrong, as in don't use any mods together with the RP (except the ones that are included in the installer). If you used the Goris de-robing mod that came with the RP installer, then you're fine but if you added it yourself from somewhere else, that's most likely the cause of your trouble.

I meant you shouldn't ask questions about a modded game in the G&T forum when there are signs all over the place telling you not to. The floor thing obviously relates to the engine, but Goris' script doesn't.
