First time out of the vault

^The video shows perfectly the type of person Bethesda was thinking of when they made Fallout 3.

*Do not watch if you get annoyed by failure!

Praise Allah...

I STINK at video games and I'm better than this guy. I really don't know how you could play Fallout 2 this badly

This is the first thing that actually made me cry in a while. There's just too many things wrong with this to list.

But the biggest thing is HE ACTUALLY DID YOUR REVIEW THE FIRST TIME HE PLAYED IT?!?
arrrgggghhh. This is just pissing me off.

He edgy because he swears

Jesus, what did he expect? To just hit all the time? I can't believe he made a "review" without even finishing the temple, I mean, yeah we all hate that fucking place, but we all managed to finish it at least.

I never understood all the hate for the temple, sure it was annoying the first time you played but now re-playing it I realize that it only takes about 4-6 minutes. (Then again I have combat speed as high as it can go and have it set to always run)

That's exactly the problem. :p If I start a new game of Fallout 2, I don't want to waste the first 5 minutes inside the temple.

It really doesn't take much longer than getting out of the cave in Fallout.

It does. In Fallout 1 you just have to run a straight path and can leave the map. In Fallout 2 you have to enter the temple, you have to cross the first map (run away from all the ants), you have to take the explosives in the next map (and a fight with ants again), then you explode the door, enter the next map, have to run to the final battle (fight with ants again), then you have to pass the final battle and find yourself in the village. That's a big difference.

It's still not as long as Fallout 3's tutorial, and only takes a couple minutes longer than Fallout's tutorial. The only time it really bothered me was on my first playthrough since I couldn't figure out what you had to do at that one door that you have to use the C4 on (I played Fallout 2 before Fallout).

Because it is so unexpected and jarring. Let's say you start playing this weird video game installed on your brother's computer. You know absolutely nothing of Fallout except it takes place after the end of the world. It looks cool, has a nice soundtrack and the intro looks good. Then BAM without notice you go in this lengthy, boring tutorial that has nothing to do with the rest of the game. That's why I don't like it

Plus, it's just not logical. Why do these primitive screwheads have a big stone temple with big stone faces? Why is it chockablock with traps? Who built it originally, and what the hell was it supposed to be? Why use it as some kind of American Gladiators gauntlet for the "Chosen One" (a position that I doubt you go seeking suitable candidates for very often) when you could use it as a fortress, a storehouse, a tribal condominium?

It is also, as Sabirah said, jarring. It doesn't match the tone of the rest of the game, let alone the rest of the series, and it's tedious and unskippable.

I hate it when people make commented Youtube videos but just don't have the voice for it.
His voice is just awful. Why are there so many people with a lisp or heavy braces or whatever doing reviews and comments on Youtube?
Even better when they are whiny kids with shaky voices.
Be able to speak when you comment!

Just because they're tribals doesn't mean they wouldn't be able to carve into rock... Seriously, the treasury of Petra was carved in the 6th century BC. Some of the world's wonders were created by civilisations who could be perceived as 'primitive' by today's standards. I don't think setting traps is hardly beyond them either, they're put there because it's the 'temple of trials' obviously.

Besides, I actually think it's a pre-war building so they probably didn't build it at all. It's a short tutorial and I never saw it as that big a deal, it fits the tribal setting of the beginning of the game so I don't see your point or the problem there.

I DO agree that that temple would most definitely be more suited for them to actually live in! Ha, surely? There are most certainly better uses for the temple, wholeheartedly agree with you there!

Oh well, it's a tutorial they had to put in and they tried to be a little creative with it. A few minutes of your time, no big deal people!

Also, this video is STUPID and annoying. I hate egotistical people who assume anyone cares about their opinion enough to watch a nauseating video review as they sit and play a game and prattle on. Especially someone who is reviewing a game this old! As if there aren't a million and one reviews of Fallout 2 already out there. We wanna listen to someone review the tutorial of a game!? Idiot.

I don't know, it alnmost looks like a Parody,I mean it just has everything, a rap intro, a guy with an exagerated lisp, comments on how he already recorded it but lost it so he is makign it again. This guy is either an idiot, or a bigger idiot if it's actualy serious with thsi video.

Pff... you can pretty much run through it, killing mayhaps two or three ants and two radscorpions. Apart from the fact that it doesn't make any sense, it never really bothered me.

I absolutely love the craptacular rap music pounding away at the beginning. This blood must be an OG at Fallout. We could learn a lot from this enlightened fellow.
