Fallout Day Broadcast

Happy Fallout Day, everyone!

What's Fallout Day? Well, bombs dropped October 23rd 2077, so it's an opportunity for... something.

Original post by PaxVenire explains further:

Bethesda just blueballed their entire presumptuous fanbase today. A week ago they announced the first (assumedly annual) "Fallout Day" special broadcast for all their fans which they stated would comprise of updates on Fallout 76 and developer interviews. Of course, people immediately got the idea that there was something secret planned for announcement. As the days drew near and the posts for this special broadcast were being advertised, fans conjured up hopes for a Fallout 3 Remaster, Fallout New Vegas Remaster, Fallout 5 announcement, etc. but for once Bethesda didn't lie and all that aired today was a 20 minute video of Fallout 76 slop.

I didn't want a New Vegas remaster because that would have broken a ton of mods and most likely been a buggy piece of shit, and i don't want a Fallout 5 because i want Bethesda to stop doing games in this franchise and let other companies owned by microsoft to actually take a crack at it (can't be worse than Bethesda garbage).

So yeah, glad it's a bunch of 76 slop because i don't care for that.

Modern Bethesda “fans” get what modern Bethesda “fans” deserve.

I miss the old Bethesda, the Bethesda that made Morrowind as a Hail Mary, before they became corrupted by appeasing shills and casuals who consume product simply because it exists to be consumed. Even *if* Fallout 76 is a legitimately good game now, people being all happy dandy go lucky means the cycle will never change because not enough people are aware, or care, about accountability.

I wonder how Project V13 would have turned out
That honestly would've been quite interesting to see, now don't get me wrong I don't think it would've been considered an absolute MASTERPIECE! But probably alright/okay/good in it's own right.

1. No, Fallout 76 in MY eyes, will never EVER be considered legitimately good! With the way they continually butcher the lore, & tone of what Fallout is supposed to be. Do I NEED to mention the latest "Snake Monster" boss fight!?

& 2. Yes, sadly Bethesda went into downward spiral Post-Morrowind. And due to the shills & casuals who continue to praise their garbage, it leaves Bethesda in a position of a vicious cycle between mediocrity, & absolute DOGTURDS!

I'm only interested in Bethesda announcing a Fallout game by another developer like New Vegas. With Microsoft's purchase, they have a lot of potential developers from which to choose. I wouldn't go with Obsidian since they aren't what they used to be but maybe InXile?
Maybe Nightdive can remaster Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel or whichever dev did the recent remasters of the Dark Alliance games. Perhaps even a Brotherhood of Steel 2 or have someone make a new Fallout Tactics.
I'm not interested in seeing Bethesda Fallout 5, and even if I was, it's a decade out so unless they plan on doing what I've mentioned why even do shit like this? Teasing their fans for a decade with only Shelter and 76 isn't going to work out.

I’ve made my peace. Fallout ended with NV. I don’t follow up on Fallout news regarding upcoming games if Emil the labrat is still the lead narrative designer.

They can take their Elder Scrolls with fanfic someplace else.

Bethesda has a massive ego. When NV came out and shat on FO3 for all the wrong it did. Bethesda doubled down on their linear streamlined approach from Fallout 3 on Skyrim and they proved the NV “haters” wrong.

Skyrim ruined Bethesda. It made them egotistical and get greedy with their IPs.

Same. If Bethesda’s supposed magnum opus Starfarce is them at their best, big oof, TES 6 is doomed right off the bat.
