Here's the official trailer of the upcoming Honest Hearts DLC, narrated and highlighting the Burned Man, Joshua Graham, voiced by veteran voice actor Keith Szarabajka (Mass Effect 2, Dragon Ages, Grim Fandango).

As you try to find a way back to the Mojave you become embroiled in a war between tribes and a conflict between a New Canaanite missionary and the mysterious Burned Man. In Honest Hearts, the decisions you make will determine the fate of Zion.</blockquote><center>

I thought Fallout had moved on from the whole tribal gimmick by now? Oh well, can't be helped...

Looks neat otherwise.

PS: uploading screenshots, btw, they'll be there soon.

Looks like there is a tommy gun as well. People can now stop crying that FNV does not have a real tommy gun.

New weapons: ".45 Auto Pistol, .45 Auto Submachine Gun, the Compliance Regular, Fire Bombs, War Clubs, and Yao Guai Gauntlets."

Fire bombs sound good, I was kinda surprised an incendiary "molotov replacement" (no gas in the wastes) wasn't in NV, but now it looks like its here. Maybe some new flaming enemies animations as well?

Finally, the M1911 makes it in game. I'm curious to see what the SMG looks like (Tommy Gun?).

Yao Guai make a comeback, which is...ok. I like the idea of mutated bears, just...I think the name is stupid. (Explains the piece of yao guai meat in Lanius's tent, maybe a hint that they would return?) Also, I expected to see a more violent/wild breed of bighorner, oh well.

Tribals....eh, yeah, ok. CL hasn't managed to wipe out all of the tribes in the AZ, NV, UT area and if a population of people is isolated enough for a long enough time...I wonder if we'll see the Ciphers as well, for more connections back to DM.

Edit:

Anyone have any idea what the language is on that (probably) unique .45? 47 secs in the trailer...Greek, maybe.

Also, it looks like there is a new or unique service rifle with "ARRET" carved into the stock.

Also as a downer I'll note that while the voice actor seems p good, the burned man is just a letdown. Can't be helped. He just sounds more awesome when written down or described, because so much is left to the imagination, while now we have a model in a pretty shitty graphical engine. Not ideal.

I noticed that the number '22' is written in the tribal graffiti on the side of that cliff. I also notice that there's a giant-ass plant in one of the screen shots.

I'm guessing that not everyone from Vault 22 became a spore carrier.

Yep, thought so already since we heard he will appear. The first released screenshot of him didn't helped much either. Now I wonder how many Graham-hyped-up-folks will be disappointed by this on release.

As a general rule of fiction, people who proclaim themselves "a tool" or "the right hand" of God are rarely good guys.

On Graham, I was honestly kind of expecting something like Set... ugly as hell, and brutal, but kind of honest and fair at the same time. The bandages are... eh, I get the idea, but it's not really grisly enough to make an impact on me.

Yeah I was expecting the bandages to be a little more dirty and torn up and stuff, His skin to look a lot more burned (charred even) and for the voice to be a bit more Grough... if that is a word.

Indeed. It looks like there is weather after all in world of Fallout.

Yeah, he feels like nothing I had imagined. I really expected some half-crazy badass like he meant to be in VanBuren. But we'll see - maybe he will turn out as a really good character after all.

With hype surrounding him since Van Buren, the Burned Man was practically begging to be a let down. I don't really mind, I just want to see where they go with the concept.

As for the tribals, I enjoyed the concept, but not much of the execution in Fallout 2. It felt like, most of the time, they were playing the concept for laughs, which is not necessarily a bad thing but it certainly detached you from the idea of saving your village. Or well, it did for me. Still, I may be blinded by my love for that game.

I thought Fallout had moved on from the whole tribal gimmick by now? Oh well, can't be helped...

That's because the gimmick of the generic setting of a big, well known city in ruins in FO3 is a lot more original idea...

I do like the desert / tribal thingy from FO1/2 / NV. It is a lot mre fresh and less used in fiction than a huge city destroyed.

Nice trailer. The 2nd music is kind odd though. Loved the voice of Joshua, somehow wasn't expecting for him to actually sound like a psycho at all. In fact, if he thinks himself as a "righteous avenger" or "hand of the Lord" or something, I think it may be more interesting than him being a complete crazy maniac.

I'm in the minority here that I like everything about this incarnation of the burned man. Dirty/Half torn bandages wouldn't have done it for me and considering the situation hes apparently in wouldn't exactly have made that much sense too.

Well thas me though.

MEH...not really feeling the this so far. It seems very generic and uninspiring ...I really hope the writing makes up for it... :|

Really liked the trailer overall though I think it's always lame that they devolve into "holy shit action sequences". Just doesn't work well with the engine.

But I love the voiceover especially, and I like theme of the Burned Man sitting there reloading shit or whatever he's doing. I agree that he could've looked more hideous though.

Still, like WUE said, the concept of the Hanged/Burned Man is hyped to hell and back. It's never gonna be as awesome as what people have dreamt up when reading the Van Buren design docs and all that. I'm just hoping for a really interesting character and I think they'll deliver that.
