Favorite Companion in Fallout 4?

Regardless of what anyone else says about Fallout 4, I still look at the game generally favorably. Yes, there's a lot of issues with the game concerning lore contradictions, plot holes, graphic configuration, perk system, etcetera, etcetera... kudos to this site for pointing it out to me.
However, there was some redeeming qualities of the game. I liked quests like the Cabot family quest, factions like the Atom Cats, power armor configurations, and the companion Nick Valentine.
There's something about Valentine that stands out amongst the other companions. Okay Piper, anti-authoritarian reporter, cool. MacCready, the same snot-nosed little shit from Lamplight, whatever.

Nick Valentine, however, has a interesting story. "Pre-war detective" programmed Institute synth gets discarded and goes to Diamond City to make a name for himself, all awhile struggling with an existential crisis on how much of the pre-war detective he really is, and whether or not he is truly an independent individual. I don't know about you lot, but he's got to be one of my top 10 (maybe top 5) Fallout companions.

Looking past all the flaws this game had to offer, who was your favorite companion to wander the wastes with?

Codsworth and Dogmeat. Dogmeat is just a dog, and I like dogs.

As for Codsworth, he fills the role of the robotic companion that I do enjoy having in Fallout games. With the Automatron DLC allowing me to alter him to fit certain roles, I can even just have my one robot that I change out instead of having to mod in more robots to bring with me. In fact, Automatron completely replaced the other companions in the game for that reason. Because none of the humanoid companions interested me in the slightest. I let them stay where they were.

None, they are better than Fallout 3 but they have got a depth of a puddle.

And the companion system is retarded. I pick locks and all companions tell me their lifestory and go to bed with me.

Also they are essential, I couldn't care less what happens to them.
 
Old Longfellow hit my daddy issues just right. I always pick him and Dogmeat.

I really liked Nick Valentine. They'd actually made a decent companion that new what the word sarcastic meant u wonna go 4 round 2? Then they fucked it up with his abysmal companion quest - muh pre-war gewl.

Probably Dogmeat because he's cute and isn't an annoying shit.

I even like Garvey when he's not telling me another settlement needs my help.

Most of the companions always had these repetitive one-liners that made me cringe. One especially was from Cait: "Keep yer eyes on the road and off me ass." UGH. I'm sure it's funny in the moment, but when I'm working the workbench and I gotta hear that every five minutes...

That, however, is simply more of a general video game thing. To emulate a person or another player is extremely hard, none of these people are passing the turing test.
 
Currie Piper or good ol Nick. I guess Dogmeat is great aswell but i don't like melee only characters around me. They tend to run in the way/set of traps. Can't stand Cait MacCready or the super mutant at all.
 
Dogmeat, because I can turn him into a Rottweiler and enjoy doing stuff without having something nagging at me constantly. Also his perks make him badass. Nick Valentine would've been a close second if it wasn't for Lone Wanderer perk being so broken, and the fact he can understand sarcasm, but he never seems to understand it's a joke and comment back with a laugh or chuckle. Instead he just acts annoyed and pissy which is annoying.
 
It's a tough call as so many of them doesn't really make any sense. Such as a synth wasteland detective or piper the news reporter/editor, in a world everyone struggle for survival, I always wonder how can they make ends meet. Ada, curie and Codsworth are "interesting" robot companion but their AI is too over-killed for the lore (in FO2 and 3, you need a mainframe computer to run an AI).

MacCready has an interesting background but he is poorly written. Damn.

So if I have smoked a joint as huge as a roll of newspaper to look past all the flaws this game had to offer, I would say Danse for firepower. Piper and Curie for their look. My PC is always a bad-ass mafia/dictator, an army of sexy hot chick is just perfect for him.

And, if someone made a mod for installing a minigun on robot's crotch, I would pick Ada/automatron as well just for a good laugh.

If I smoked another joint with a few shot of vodka for extra hallucination, which, FO3, FNV and FO4 is a well written trilogy (I am still making the plot based on Radiosity's FO3 reconstruction, more details later), has mulitiple follower support with team barter, you can ship your follower(s) or they will develop relationships off the screen etc) just like mass effect 3. Then, I wold like to ship:

1. The male protagonist as a NPC companion in FO4 with Piper (her "interview" gone soooo in depth, on bed)
2. Cait with Porter or Preston (always encourage that chick to detox herself, eventually ended up in a close friendship/relationship).
3. Deacon, Nick and X6-88 for their never ending argument about Synth and institute.
4. Curie and Danse (the "happy new synth" Curie comforting Danse when his world is practically turned upside down)

And the PC would be with Veronica or the female protagonist as a NPC companion from the rewritten FO3 (a clan woman from a clan of US Marine/Enclave remnant)

Ok, I have to stop or I would have meth mouth like mama murphy.

Hancock, on account of him being ok with me drinking and my casual chem use. He is a ghoul so you never have to worry about rads and gives you chems when you engage in a convo with him.
 
spawndupe dogmeat 3x, setscale each copy .6 .5 .4 respectively, rename them all dogmittens somehow

oh and another spawndupe with the race changed to human implying dogmeat at some point gave birth to a whimpering furfag
