[FO2] is it possible to get 10 on all stats?

is it possible to get 10 on all stats?

without cheating?

i know about the perks and the computer thing, but are there other things that can increase your stats permenantly?

oh another thing, which three skills should i tag?
is melee better than unarmed? power fist does more damage than super sledgehammer, but fist uses cells, and supersledge hammer seems to get more criticals.

are energy weapons any good? or are big guns better?

is this a good character plan?

4 strength (10 with advanced power armor+perk+the computer quest)
8 agility (10 with the perk + the computer)
9 endurance (10 with the perk)
7 charisma (10 with the computer+the perk +the sunglasses)
8 perception (10 with the perk+ the computer)
8 intelligence (10 with the perk+ the computer)
3 luck (10 with the dog quest?)

traits:
gifted and finesse

does the dog quest make your luck 10?? or is it like +3 or something?

tagged skills:
small gun,
energy weapon,
unarmed(maybe lockpick or melee).



the other skills such as speech and steal, are quite useless. just kill the person and take his items. :)

science and repair are useless because you have VIc and the geek.

lockpick at 100% is enough, so it doesn't need to be tagged.

Looks good to me but you might want to have at least 4 luck. Other than that it looks good.

You forgot agility, which can only be upgraded once (perk). Only way to get 10 in everything is to cheat or use drugs (and winners don't use drugs... much)

You start with 40 stat points and get 9 more from Gifted and Bruiser and 17 more from quests ,perks and items I know about. With that 66 points you can get 10s in all stats but luck with a 6. Now I have never got the dog. Is he good for 4 points?

SKILL*BASE*PERK*MODULE*SPECIAL MODIFIERS=End Stats
STR=4*1*1*4(ADV.POWER ARMOR)=10
PER=8*1*1*0=10
END=6*1*1*0=7
CHA=7*1*1*1(MIRRORED SHADES)=10
INT=8*1*1*0=10
AGI=9*1*0*0=10
LUC=6*1*0*2(NCR ZETA SCAN)=9
Total=40(BASE)*7(Gifted)*1(Small Frame)*7*5*7=67
A word of explanation.
Gifted Trait: better than Heavy Handed because APs are soooo very important throughout the game.
Higher luck/lower Endurance: to get in those CRITICALS, which provide the BEST DAMAGE. Endurance is less important if you HIT(run) FIRST.
Pariah dog: If I can get this to work, it'll mean starting over with a completely new character because I'd lower my initial Luck to compensate. It would mean all 10's except in Endurance by the endgame without both Assault enhancements(-2 CHA).
SO, with Bruiser you COULD(possibly) get all 10's.

P.S. you can get *1INT and *1LUC from AHS-7's Zeta Scan in S.F. if you haven't got one in NCR, but it's better to have higher INT from the start or miss out on skill points, etc. and have to kill AHS-9 or be a Hubologist-->:'(

PE:8+1(perk)+1(mem.mod.) =10
EN:9+1(perk) =10
CH:7+1(perk)+1(mem.mod.)+1(mir.s.g.) =10
IN:8+1(perk)+1(mem.mod.) =10
AG:9+1(perk) =10
LK:4+1(perk)+2(zeta s.t.)+3(pariah dog) =10
But this way you lose 2 agility for taking brusier trait.I'm trying to find another way.
And if you don't know how to get +3 luck from Pariah dog I can post it again.

A 8+1(gifted)+1(perk)=10

I've got the dog several times, and tried what was posted in the threads about it, and never got it to work. I've got the dog with a luck as high as 5 so far.

Supposedly when you encounter the dog, you whack him without moving from your starting position on the map-

As I said this never worked for me.

The first time I didn't move from my starting position, but Sulik got the killing blow. So that might have had something to do with it.

The second time I got my outdoorsman, so I didn't encounter it immediately, and saved just outside of the encounter. Nothing I did in the encounter worked...

The third time I had to move and get close to make sure I got the kill, that didn't work.

PS. for another "infinate" xp. hint, if you get the mad (exploding) brahmin encounter, get into combat and start taking out brahmin, the will keep reapearing and you get xp for each one you kill (that doesn't explode first).

my brother found something in an encounter called the fallout2 hints book. he red it and it but all his characteristics up to 10 and gave him 300% on all skills. ive never seen it before or since so i guess it must be pretty hard to find

You can only get that book AFTER you finish the game. from father tully if I remember correctly.

Also, the hint book only raises all your skills to 300%, it doesn't affect your stats.

It's not. This is just another fable. What the dog actually does is drop your luck. When you kill it your luck goes up again.

It's a random encounter.
