Killing Mr. Bishop?

Is it possible to kill Mr. Bishop by tampering with the explosives on his safe? And if so, how can you do this?

no the explosive is mr bishop's trap for u. It supposely activates one of his men to his room, but that trigger doesn't always work for some reason.

Mrs. Bishop, if you speak to her about killing her husband, mentions that you could alter the safe combination to blow up Bishop at some future date.

I just wondered if this was possible.

I've read that it's possible to do this using your traps skill, but I've never managed to do it. Every time I try traps on the safe, I remove the existing trap and can't do anything after that.

Nonononono d00000000ds you got it all messed. Firstly, in order to get the quest you have to feed it to leslie err Mrs. Bishop and then talk about her husband until you ask want me to kill him. Then convince her that it won't look like you did it and she tells you about his safe. A dialogue option for you pops up saying "Maybe if I "repaired" his safe I could change teh combination" so thus if you have 80% repair/traps (maybe traps, but definetly repair) and repair the safe, you'll change the combination on it. Assasinating him is different, I couldn't figure out how to get him to trip the safe and kill himself...

Yah ye needeth 80% traps and 80% repair, and the third time thou sleep with thine Mrs Bishop you can ask her about her husband and you get the dialogue option to repair the safe, so thou doest that. Then you leave that level and rest awhile and Bishop gets hit for 328 damage or something.

Well how do I get away after sleeping with Mrs Bishop? everytime I have done that Mr Bishop has been in the next room blocking my escape...

Killing Bishop

I can't seem to be able to kill Mr Bishop in New Reno. When i rig his safe to explode, then go downstairs and wait a bit, I get a message saying I hear a muffled boom, then the game crashes. An error message reading something about a kernel32.dll problem pops up. Anyone know why?

seems to be a lot of bugs with explosions. I can't plant bombs on anyone or I get the same crash... No help sorry. just whack him!

Is your game patch? you need to use your traps skill, you don't need to explode the safe. u can kill Bishop by using SUPER STIM, use about 5 to 10 and rest for 10 minutes and he's dead.

I haven't studied this subject much since I usually just go in guns blazing and barbeque everything that moves in the casino and upstairs, but the super stim trick would most likely be very efficient. And I don't see why planting an activated dynamite on him wouldn't work here as well? Why bother to put it on the safe? Some quest detail I'm unaware of? :-)
 
Hello to this thread from 20 years later. I was having the same issue as some posters, my repair and traps were definitely high enough but Mrs. Bishop JUST WOULDN'T GIVE ME THE DIALOGUE OPTION TO KILL HER HUSBAND. I was losing my mind. Trying to repair the safe without the dialogue option just kept giving me "You cannot repair that."

FINALLY I decided to try sleeping with her with dynamite in my inventory (I had no intention of trapping the safe, I just wanted to do the "repair" method) and that one change got the dialogue option to appear. So that's my advice, if you're not getting the suggestion to kill her husband, try going in with dynamite in your inventory. Hope this helps someone in the future!
