Wow, they fixed there search algorithms. Big deal.

Like, it's not like anyone actually used them anyway. If you are googling something, you know what you are looking for.

It's sad that that is the truth you seek.

Except most of the touchy subjects were censored and you couldn't find them unless you had a link or special knowledge. Also, not everyone has your understanding of the internet. ma and pa that think that the first result must be true would be getting lies, now, it is more accurate to what you are searching for. I don't really care if you think it is a step in the right direction or not. You probably like being told what to think.

A while back, I tried to prove that breitbart was run by crazy conspiracy theorists, by going through there site and picking out dumb headlines, and I could find it easily just by googling it.

If touchy subjects were so censored, then how come I could go to one of the most far-right gossip sites of all time just by looking it up?

Real Mature.

And yes, I realise Google has some dodgy practices, as does every major corporation in the world. However, that being said, I realise that there isn't some big censorship conspiracy going on. It's just a bunch of rich folk using there power to there advantage.

Do explain your point of view, rather than assuming I know automatically what it is.

So... We're just going to have to take your word for it that some vague stuff is now less censored than before. Stuff so touchy that you wouldn't post the keywords in an Internet forum.
Seriously?

Not gonna believe the same paranoid fart who thought this forum was censored, too...

I'd like to. I really would, but I am not going to provide keywords.
I use things like NoScript and Ghostery for a reason.

If you are not the type to go digging where you shouldn't, then you won't be interested in this censorship lift, that's fine.

To simplify, prior to this lift, some topics that many people would get misleading results. Those topics were silenced and hunted down on many social media platforms. Not only is the data showing up appropriately in the auto tag, but also in search results. It is pretty big news for the type of research I do, not so important to others that don't dig too deep.
Why don't you consider to participate in The battle of the noobs on the Order? I just realized that you would be perfect material.

Try typing in the auto search "CNN is"
Can't see any touchy stuff after putting this string in the search querry. It is locked up again?

On a serious note, some results are removed on request from governments every year, mostly due to breaking local law. You can check out how many links your country considered to be illegal and download some document with the official requests from here:
