Water Chip? Been There, Done That
Modder
Hi everyone,

I want everyone to post the top 10 games they thought were revolutionary and provided a break through in a genre or created or a new one.
Here is my lists;

1. Pac man
2. Tertrise
3. Pokemon
4. Morrowind
5. Mario
6. The sims
7. Sonic
8. Star fox
9. Resident evil
10. Angry birds

Of course I probably missed out many important games but there you are

1. Warcraft
2. Demon Souls/Dark Souls
3. Fallout
4. Resident Evil/Sweet Home
5. Grand Theft Auto
6. Metal Gear Solid
7. Doom
8. Ultima Online
9. Arkham Asylum
10. Witcher

Each title brought something new to it's respective genre, some creating or redefining entirely new genres in the process. Most of them are no brainers but in particular I like what Arkham Asylum did to combat so it made it on the list. Demon Souls made "hardcore" games slightly less niche. Metal Gear Solid brought Hollywood to video games. Doom launched the FPS genre that has transformed into linear corridor shooters and back again...

  1. Dungeons and Dragons
  2. Warhammer 40k
  3. Thief
  4. Wolfenstien 3D
  5. Grand Theft Auto
  6. Street Fighter 2
  7. Everquest
  8. Deus Ex
  9. Baldur's Gate
  10. Metal Gear Solid

1.Wasteland
