So who has seen it?

Amazing film, we redefine the globalmoviescape for decades to come.

I disagree, Hancock has set back the human race by at least two decades.

Not only did it fail to achieve what it could have been, it also failed to be what it said it was.

If that isn't a fake post, this guy needs to be banned.

What a horrible, horrible disappointment.

It's decent. I hated the ending, liked some jokes, but the movie failed to be anything out of ordinary.

The problem with Hancock is that it doesn't know what it wants to be. Some of the jokes are clever, some of the action scenes are well done, and Smith is decent-to-good. As usual, his performance can light up even the worst films (example: I Am Legend). The film just can't decide whether it wants to be a dark comedy, a character driven drama, or just a silly summer blockbuster. It tries for all three and succeeds, but when the all three are slapped together it becomes an absolute mess.

The twist was what really lost me, though. The entire third act was ridiculous.

So much wasted potential here.

thats sad

the first movie that for a long time delivers some ORIGNAL content, at least for a supposed-to-be blockbuster

gonna watch it anywy, if only to see how a good idea is wrecked by a crappy movie

Nah, it wasn't bad at all. Nothing amazing or anything, but a nice thing to go and waste a few hours watching.

Good plan. It really is a special movie. The ending is supposed to be a bit out-of-it, it requires some real dimensional analysis to suss but it's worth it.

I don't know, I thought the movie was entertaining and I'm glad I went to see it. Really, all the superhero movies this summer have been really enjoyable. The only movies that have disappointed me some this summer are Wall-E and Indy 4.

Go see Hellboy II instead of this dreck. Seriously, you will not be disappointed.

i have ONE question tho. it occurs to me that there is a specific theme in all these superhero movies, that being "save the world and as a reward, YOU WILL NOT GET LAID! muhahaha!". wth is wrong with you guys? cmon wheres the love? so... does hancock get some juicy action? or is he another one of those frustrated superheroes condemned to a live of solitude, celibacy and 4chan gold accounts?

Agreed that Hellboy 2 is superior. Interesting that they were released one week apart and have a lot of parallels.

Except one is awesome and one isn't. I'm glad Hellboy beat it out at the box office, too. I really hope there's a third film.

I was more looking at you know, the smart mouthed anti-hero who's looked at poorly by the people with one obsessed with alcohol, the other with cigars. Here's to hoping for a third as well... of course, Dark Knight will likely cause every other movie to fall to 0 this weekend.

I honestly was surprised by the movie. I expected something more amusing and was hit with something a bit more serious. I did not think it was bad by any means.

I think it would have been much cooler if Handcock would have dressed himself as Santa Claus and destroyed the world by bringing forth Ragnarok. Why would a god want to be mortal anyway?
