Edit: i have been watching again and think i know what you mean now, but its just probably "rainbow reflexion" (the light passing throught the glass and the poo, dunno how to explain it in english.. :/)

Well maybe its even that simple since they only wanted to tell people that "go wash your car" and now ... everyone seems to missunderstand the message eventualy thinking its a miracle for world peace or something.
 
I've heard Mexican Catholicism is such a screwball because it's a welcome excuse to continue worshiping old deities by finding equivalent saints.

IMO they're all just completely batshit insane, tho.
 
People who are 3 hairs away from being baboons are running around in society and nobody is doing anything about it.

Actualy this isnt just a mexican thing. Marian devotions or focus on certain arch angels (most of the time Michael, Gabriel) have been at least lately part of a debate in the katholic church as a few comunities have as they explained it lay more importance on them then Jesus Christ.

You can move from France, to Germany and Itally and find in many places either smaller or biger churches that place a high focus on such things.

Well, where I come from, bird shit is usually black and white. This is blue and orange. I just thought that it was odd, that's all.
 
I live in the Rhineland, Germany. Rhineland Catholicism is thinly veiled polytheism, but there's still a huge difference between that and the fanatic idol worship in South America.

Then again, you can probably blame that on an overall higher religiosity in South America.
