Water Chip? Been There, Done That
Our dog had been very sick and refused to eat because his kidneys were failing. After a fruitles effort to get his kidneys working again we had no choice but to let him be put to sleep. He was 15 years old, so he's had a very long life, but I'm gonna miss him...

I know what're you going thru, I'm sure he was an important part of your family, but like Dom Devore said, he's in a better place now and I'm sure he will never forget you. Hope you're feeling better soon...

1. Whether you like it or not, Shadowman is an important member of this community. He is not some newbie that we know nothing about, or some semi-gimmick poster like me that most of what you know about me isn't real or severely distorted reality... he is actually someone that we've gotten used to being around for a while, and we would be willingly read about any area of his personal life that he feels like sharing.
2. This is the general discussion board, most anything is acceptable except spam and topics which NMA already has designated boards for.

Because it WASN'T in the right forum, it was a post about an obvious gameplay issue in Fallout, and it has been stressed to a point of disbelief on how to properly post on these forums, and some people *still* don't get it, so I think we're kind of justified in bitching at people who can't interpret board titles or read huge bright signs.

shadowman, I'm sorry to hear that. especially because I know how you feel. dog is indeed a human's best friend, he'll never leave you, fail you. however the time must come when they have to leave. it is paiful but as everything in life, time shall heal all wounds. the sorrow of lost moments remain.

Ok, ok ok...First off, I'd like to say that the day I posted that, I had just read all that you guys had to say about the guy that posted a message in a wrong room, and that got to me a little bit. Anyway, I'm sorry and I can explain...

#1 I had just read those posts of u guys bitching out the kid that posted in the wrong room, then i read this post and thought, what the hell? this has NOTHING to do with fallout AT ALL and you give him your sympathies? at least the other guy's post had something to do with fallout! (I don't have that mentality anymore)

#2 Since this *is* a Fallout site, I assumed that the general discussion would focus around general fallout-related topics. I was not under the impression that ANYTHING could be posted here.

Anyway, my point was only that it seemed a little weird to me that a kid that just wants some questions answered gets bitched out (I mean seriously bitched out), and then Shadowman comes along yappin' about his dog and he gets everyone's sympathies. It sounded weird at the time.

Plus, I am a half-assed newbie and I dont know who's in charge here and who's not a newbie, so I just thought it was some pathetic loser lookin for a few "I'm sorry"s. *obviously* I was wrong. Sorry....thats all i have to say

and Shadowman, i know how you feel. It is a terrible thing to lose such a close pet.

A: This board is for everything none Fallout related (in essence, maybe a few certain things relate to the story line), but mainly this is, as the board says, General Discussion.

B: The other guy should not be posting on a board which explicitly states no fallout-game related questions on the general discussion board. Is Shadowman's sad news fallout-game related, NO!

C: Carry on with a sharp tongue and odd temper like this and you shan't be around here much longer. You are already getting on my nerves with the last response.
