Kodak Corparation had secret nuclear reactor!

But why did Kodak have a hidden nuclear reactor loaded with weapons-grade uranium?
Sounds highly unlikely to me. I believe so there is not any reactor at all.
Weapons-grade uranium, huh? To make a bomb, you need uranium enriched at least at 90%. There are uranium rods enriched at 20% used in most of the present reactors, nobody can make a nuclear weapon of it.

Depends on your definition of nuclear weapon. It's enough to make a dirty bomb, particularly if you aim to detonate it at high altitudes.

Alright, I concede.
There is just a "weapon-grade uranium" mentioned, not a nuclear bomb. Even the depleted uranium bullets could be considered an uranium weapon after all. :)

Yeah I also got that vibe when I read the title of this topic.

Have there been any rumors about odd looking eccentric looking employees who happen to be rather good when it comes to breaking or killing things, or the CEOs from time to time going to a floor of the building that is completely off limits for everyone else?

And what about the president, whenever there is a kind of problem, is he worried that he may have to answer to an unknown 'superior'?

It's an experimental reactor, using the uranium to produce a large flux of neutrons for certain imaging techniques.
It didn't produce energy, it had about 3 pounds of enriched uranium in it (and in case you're wondering how much that is, uranium is pretty damn heavy, so it's just a very little amount, actually), and Kodak had it legally.
I know that most laymen have a little switch in their heads that sends them off the cliff if someone uses the word 'nuclear', but calm down everyone.
There literally is nothing to see there. That thing is the size of a fridge.

quite a few labs over the world have radioactive stuff stored somewhere either for tests or what ever. Some of that could be used for bombs. Big deal.

Though a reactor in Kodak ... that is a surprise. But hardly an issue. If it is true after all.

You know what else can be used in a bomb? Everything. Even water and carbon dioxide.

Heh I think most of us honestly weren't thinking of something capable of powering all of Kodak's buildings and factories.

It just sounds so much like something from an old James Bond movie, that is what makes it so funny.
