Amateurish? Yeah. But still pretty funny:

MacGyver saves Lost

Does any of you guys watch this sitcom? And if so, what do you think about it?

I've been watching it, since my gf likes it, but I have a love/hate feeling about it because it takes so goddamn long before you get to know where the fuck those fuckers are stranded.

Any theories?

Lost is awesome, no question. And MacGyver only makes it more awesome. I haven't had the time to watch it recently, but my friend is keeping me updated.

Lost is pretty good, it is now becoming a pain in the arse, as nothing seems to make sense and is just becoming strange.

Lost Season1 was excellent, so far Season2 is all right I suppose.

EDIT: That McGyver thing is great.

The 1st season was good but so far the 2nd season has had way too many shitty soap opera episodes that do nothing to further the story.

And you know now that the season is about to end all kinds of shit is going to happen to make a cliffhanger for season 3.

(like the 2nd season of BSG)

Heh, yeah I'm expecting that too.

But here in Aus, the season 2 started in February, so we are a long way off seeing the end of season2 yet.

We are up to the part where Locke, Jack and Sawyer go out and try to find Michael who is out looking for Walt. And they stumble upon the Others, and he tells them to get off the island...

I watch Lost, but exclusively for the island parts and sloooow uncovering of the Big Sci-fi/Fantasy Mystery Sekret. I tend to space out or do something else while beforestuff is happening; the way it's supposed to tie in with what's going on at the island is 9 times out of 10 worthless fuzz and pop-psychology. That's the first clue that something's wrong with the basic design of a series, when you actually don't care one whit about half of it. The second clue is when it becomes obvious that the series is all about stalling and rehashing because apparently they couldn't keep people interested otherwise. Add gruesome lack of continuity, enough plotholes to cover half a beach, and a total lack of credibility in the way people's behaviour and daily routines (fail to) reflect the situation they find themselves in...

What the hell is up with that sig.

Also, that's an awesome YTMND. The music is spot-on. And not that I'm dissappointed, but YTMND indicated that there were going to be dongs.

Yeah, but I'd like to see the episode when Tyra Banks actually had that facial expression.

What Fallout fan doesn't know all about Lo Pan?

I do know about Lo Pan, I've just never seen the movie he was in and so I wasn't familiar with the beam of white light effect.

My thoughts on the show are similar to Per's - I think Lost has potential but ultimately is a pretty mediocre and run of the mill. Each episode is an hour - during that hour you get one or two good scenes, a few minutes which draw you into the plot and the mystery, a few bits of good dialogue, and the other 3/4ths is just standard television melodrama filler. I wanted to like the show, I tried to like the show, but it's really just boring crap in an attractive wrapper. I'd rather just read a plot summary than actually watch it.
