Mantis eggs for Red Lucy

Is there any other place other than Vault 22 where mantis eggs can be found? I really hate that place and I'd like to avoid it if possible lol.

For the quest you either have to go to Vault 22 (easier) or have 12 mantis eggs when you return to Lucy which you can find (one at a time) on any mantis.

Yeah one at time would take a while. Most mantises are found near Jacobstown right? It looks like I might have to man up and go into Vault 22 again.. Dammit.

I actually collected 12 Cazadore Eggs and kept them on my character's person for a long time before they were converted into a pile of eggs for the Bleed Me Dry quest, because I REALLY wanted to avoid collecting the eggs from the pile. Considering Cazadores are MUCH more of a pain in the ass to deal with than Mantises (but also encountered more frequently, so farming might be "easier"), I'd say it's fairly easy to hoard 12 Mantis Eggs for the quest... provided you started early. Yes, you'll find Mantises in droves near Jacobstown, but also in Vault 22, so if time (or patience) is a factor, then might as well get it over with...
