Dunno if Quake will ever happen again. John Romero is gone (and about to make us his bitch again), after all.
But yeah, I'd LOVE a sort of reimagining of the world of Quake 1 especially. I always loved that kinda high tech, but also Lovecraftian look.

Quake 1 gave me an headache even back in the days for some reason. Quake 2 was my kind of game! Got Q2 and Q4 a while ago so i guess i should play trough them especially Q4 as i never touched it before.

It's... okay but I would not call it brilliant.
I finished it once but I honestly did not feel like playing it again.

The Single Player story campaign is not bad, in many ways it is much superior to Quake 2's and it continues the standard Half Life 2 and Jedi Knight Outcast and Academy began.
Hmm... it is a little standard to be honest. The Makron, the supreme warlord of the Stroggs is rebuild and quickly starts to reorganize the remnants of the Strogg army against the invading humans.
There isn't any deep story telling really, just your standard sci fi marine vs a deadly threat to humanity one, and Raven honestly has been able to tell more involving stories in their past, or in the future for that matter as I found Wolfenstein 2009's story as adventure and action packed as an Indiana Jones movies. (hence why I would like to make a story in which William 'B.J.' Blazkowicz and Henry 'Indiana" Jones Jr team up to fight the Nazis and the SS Paranormal Division's latest plan to combine archeological artifacts and Nazi super science to create a new weapon to the win the War for the Axis powers)

This seems more by the regular standards of these type of stories.
