missing gun animation.

Hi guys.

I recently installed RP 2.3.3 in order to use as a base for a mod.

I noticed that the hunting rifle, sniper rifle, fn, and maybe other guns, are missing its animation (j-rifle in the original) (error instead of j-rifle).

EDIT: shotguns, assault rifle etc' are working fine, because they are set to J animation. This is not a missing critter's FRM issue.

Is it because i'm missing the new gun type animation (p -over the shoulder rifle shooting)? If so, where can I get it?

It causes issues in the mapper(disappearing critter), but in real-game it just uses the j-rifle animation automatically.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: Sorry for not posting in the RP page. Thought it might be okay since the RP page is full of not so modding stuff - stuff, or at least, saturated with storyline issues.

Which tool you use for Modding items when the Protos are overwritten this can happen.

@Vali I use proto manager by Fakels, Mr. Stalin. I didn't use it yet on this installation.

I only saw in the mapper about the guns. Maybe it got overwritten when I started the game?(proto overwrite?)

EDIT: Using the manager, I could find that p you were talking about.

can u explain about these custom anims? adding? removing? controlling?

Edit2: Also, how do I make the game use it? it seems the game uses the same J rifle animation. (Not proven, but I can see no diffrence)

EDIT3: I only checked on dude_obj in-game.

I Had problems like this with proto manager so now i use the f2wedit.

You can create new anims and critters with the frame animator there are wikis how do that.

Under Hold frame you can change the animation for guns but be beware, not all critters have this so some of game enemies dont use this weapons, because they havent that frame.

I know that u can create FRMs using the animator, but can u add animation types?(j-rifle,p custom). Obviously, it is possible, I just don't know how. I think the animation type is missing from my game, not the critter FRMs for the guns. (I know what u mean about certain critters not having certain animations.)

You need the dat explorer to extract these files from master and critters dat files. There arent all files in normal game.

I must look where this wiki was i know there was one for that..

I also tried to make new projectil frms critters frm but it much work you have to make many directions and use paint.
 
I checked on lightsaber, and it does work in-game. I guess it causes issues only in the mapper, and I just couldnt find the diffrence between the 2 types of rifle animation. still, would be nice to know how they added the lightsaber animation (defining it as a diffrent weapon animation)
