Modders beware - apparent dialog limit

MIB88

So Old I'm Losing Radiation Signs
Modder
Well, it appears as though I've found a dialog limit while modding. I have been trying to add another mod to the Megamod, and couldn't figure out why all scripts related to it kept crashing the game. Everything seemed to work fine in the mapper, but not the game. The scripts seem to work fine in the game, until it tries to retrieve dialog from the dialog folder. I'm getting around this by just combining dialog files.
This error seems to occur at dialog/script 1774 (though it might be a few before this, occurring at 1769).

Hmm. Can someone confirm this? Mister Lizzy from BGE? Someone else?

Mister Lizzy? Nope. Although we seriously might reach such amount, the majority of texts is not scripted yet.

We surprisingly didn't reach any limits related to new objects in mapper as well. Shameful!

The only thing I curently recollected is 19 (?) animated objects *) restriction (powered by the script, like air vent or smoke, not water bank tiles and stuff working on the same principle) for one map file, or maybe just one map floor. The rest of animations were just not running, so at least no crashes were present. This happened when working with the fires.

*) Actually, it might have been much less than 19, Crow (programmer) might have pimped it somehow, really dunno. Can't remember any such shit.

Anyway, MIB - isn't right now a time to call in the mighty Timeslip back to Earth to save the whole mankind? :lalala:

Ehehe, another limit has been found?

But seriously, maybe someone could compile some sort of list of known limitations into one thread and stick it or something...

It should be possible to cut tiles with Crop and Copy_Opacity but I couldn't tested it in the last two months. Ever wanted but never could find the time for this...

Cut out the hole tile with Crop and delet the needles parts with Copy_Opacity. This should work... but like I wrote, I never got the time to test it.

/Edit: Uhm, I couldn't test it because I have no time to make a small test image for this.... So if one can give me a small image as a hole and how the tiles should look like after cutting (3x3 tiles), then I can do it...

/Edit²: And now I see that dude_obj already wrote about that... heh...
