mp3/wav->mid?

APTYP

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
Hey, everybody! (fellow mutanthaters: Hi, APTYP!) Didn't posted everything for quite a long time, and fell out of all internet communities i usually attended. All this due to the fact i bought Nocturne survival horror game. But now i'm back and I NEED YOUR HELP!

As you might understood from subject title, i need a convertor of mp3 or wav files to mid format. Don't refer me to russian Wrecogn - it doesn't work the way i want it!
Thank you.

I don't know programs to make midis from wavs, but to convert MP3s to wav all you need is winamp. Select the prefernces with CTRL P and under the plugins/output tab select the nullsoft diskwriter plugin. Now when you play MP3s they will be written to your harddrive as a wav file.

what you could do is go to some shareware place like TuCows or NoNags and download a program that does it. Then you go to 'you know where' and get a 'you know what'.

Generally with midis

You have to make your own midi with a program. Its not that hard apart from the fact you have to use a qwerty keyboard to play the music instead of a real musical keyboard, unless you have the right cables.

The answers plain and simple.

For mp3 to WAV, use WinAmp and change the output preferences to Diskwriter.

For Wav/Mp3 to MIDI, they don't exist, or at least not the way you'd probably want them. While there ARE some Wav to Midi programs that can change basic notes into notation, for most wav files it is simply impossible.

Wav files use wave forms to store the sound in. Midi files use notation and vary the pitch of instrument samples to create their sound. That's why Midi files are so small compared to Wav files. Wav files need to store every bit (literally) of sound data they receive. Midi files only need to store the notation.

Just use a notation program..

You don't have to use your keyboard for making MIDIs, hell just use a notation program like Noteworthy Composer. Hell I've got a copy and can make my own MIDIs myself.
