New season coming out for Shoddycasts fallout lore

Shaodeus

Still Mildly Glowing
I'm pretty sad to see this happen, I liked the storyteller series and it just pisses me off to see his character walk through the awfully written Commonwealth which shouldn't be part of the lore. Are there even any stories for the storyteller to tell? How the hell is he going to explain the complete mess of writing that is the Cabot house, or T-60 power armor, why can't Father Elijah just wipe the slate clean? :-( Make Fallout like it was meant to be, undisturbed by Emil's really awful writing

but i like their rethinking series by austin so far

very good at dissecting plot holes from the science point of view. like how its possible to completely melt human with plasma rifle ?

Why does Fallout need a lore series. It's not Dark Souls, the lore is very explicitly told to you.

What a fucking stupid idea.
Because there are a lot of people who didn't have the patience to play through the first two games and read many of the notes and terminals

If they don't have the patience to play the first two games and don't read the lore presented inside the game, perhaps Fallout is not the series for them.
I agree, still there is a market for those people and the Shoddycast makes use of that and its not like those videos harm anyone, if anything they might promote the first two games for the casual players.

I remember a buddy of mine tried turning me on to the "lore retelling" of this youtube series. The first episode I watch I started pointing out all the parts of the lore they left out related to the plot they were telling. When they began the Bethesda lore part that overwrote the original lore I just stopped watching. At that point in time it had no purpose other than propagating the false lore.

Pure propaganda, that's all it is.

FUCK 'EM! Those are the people who beth is targeting right now. They're catered to enough imo.

Harsh, I'd just say that if you want to know more about Fallout... play Fallout.

Wasn't meant to be harsh. I just don't understand how someone interested in lore at least good lore could stomach Beth's abominations. I just want the franchise in the right hands. I don't who those hands are but it's not someone who caters to that type of fan. Y'know?

This. I tried to watch a few of their fallout lore videos and they're just so fucking cheesy. I believe it was the one where they talk about the original vault dweller, it was done in the NV engine and it looked absolutely awful. I cannot believe people actually watch that shit for lore info.

Yeah, I can't stand them. The storyteller side just makes it worse, and it's so damned vague. They also barely talk about New Reno, Vault City and other interesting places like the Redding power plays.

Know what you mean. It's a shame that Bethesda is considered the creator of the Fallout lore by many.

I guess it's made for people who can't be bothered to actually play a game and read, they need a cinematic experience to show them everything only for them to forget about it 5 minutes later when they click on another video.
