This post is for discussing and commenting easter eggs and facts beyond the obvious ones, like the Wild Wasteland trait related.
So if you know something of this nature that others probably don't, feel free!
I'll copy here the ones that someone already posted, that way posts won't repeat.

- Nightkin will mention Cassidy (from FO2) if you fix Tabitha's Mr. Gutsy "Rhonda" with Cass as a companion.
"The voices knew flower girl's father."
- Begin Again's lyrics were written by Chris Avellone.

- Marcus mentions that he helped blow up the enclave

- This Fallout 2 crashed Vertibird in/near Klamath:

Was piloted and crashed by Daisy Whitman that now lives in NOVAC.
The Fallout New Vegas Nightkin companion Lily has a vertibird blade sword made from a rotor blade from that same crashed vertibird.

Which nightkin? Tabitha herself?

Some facts can also be about the game's developement:
- J.E.Sawyer, the director and a designer of the game, actually wrote and performed some songs for the soundtrack:"Cobwebs and Rainbows," "Home on the Wastes," "New Vegas Valley," and "Streets of New Reno." In-game, the songs are found in the Lonesome Drifter performances at the Aces Teather, at the Tops casino after completing the "Talent Pool" quest for Tommy Torini.

Just nightkin I think. Can't remember if Tabitha was there as well. And yeah it was just the other day I discovered Josh Sawyer sang the Aces Theater songs. Pretty neat.

On that note, Begin Again's lyrics were written by Chris Avellone.

Bruce Isaac mentions, "Robbed" is such an ugly word. It's more like I took care of a payroll problem for him. Also, I might have... umm... sort of... plowed his daughter. A little." Referencing where the Chosen One in Fallout 2 can sleep with Bishop's Daughter. As well he mentions that Bishop, "knows the wasteland" like the back of his hand." Possibly making him the son of the Chosen one.

Probably you already have found the wrecked highwayman somewhere near Novac and the reference to Fallout 2's Chryslus highwayman(there are even some MFC and SEC ammo, which was a common inhabitant of the trunk), but did you know that if you stay near it the Worldmap theme will start to play?

Holy shit the Highwayman is in New Vegas? That makes me really happy and sad at the same time.

(driving that car for the first time is one of the most satisfying moments in Fallout 2)

In my first playthrough i destroyed Gecko and completed the game without it. :clap:for me.
But yeah it's just a car stuck in the ground (in fact it's supposed to be a Corvega according to the car model). It's yet another reference for gamers by gamers, not all over the place and rewarding fans for knowing the lore or playing past games, not
like Beth self-references like Dr.Li, Maxson, MacReady, Harold, long etc.

Once it ran out of fuel on my first playthrough I stopped using it. It's just those initial moments of fast movement (after walking so slowly for so long) that feel so special.

EDIT: Another Fallout 2 reference with the Enclave. If you fail to convince the NCR-hating Enclave guy to help you and you start fighting, you can say, "can't we talk?" and he'll reply with Frank Horrigan's immortal words, "We just did. Time for talking's over".

The Sierra Madre (security) armor has a weird texture bug that shows the "101" number on the back. That is a bug somehow related to the Vault 101 security armor, i think it was related to using the same mesh file.

Wow, I've never actually heard "Begin Again" before. That's an absolutely beautiful song, oh my God. I mean, I listened to the Mysterious Broadcast tons during OWB, Dead Money, and Lonesome Road since it's the only station with music in those areas, yet this song has never played for me once. Is it cut content? Do I need a mod to bring it back into the game? I'd love to be able to hear this. I also never heard it near Vera Keye's hologram, she just kept repeating her distress signal thing over and over.

Here's another Secret for you that you can add to your list. If you talk to the Vagrant in Freeside (the old man who speaks gibberish near Dixon) with low intelligence during Veronica's quest, you can actually have a very meaningful conversation with him. Video of it here:

It seems like a reference to Torr Buckner from Klamath in Fallout 2. He's the same way, he usually speaks gibberish but if you have low intelligence he'll speak like a sophisticated gentleman.

I don't even know where that man is xD. And i think you listen "Begin Again" in the plaza at the start and some radios. Go check the wiki :p
Curiously the DUST Survival Sim mod made it its leitmotif.
