Old World Blues

Jackson

First time out of the vault
So Old World Blues is out on Steam and XBL but not on PSN and yet the Wiki says it WAS released on all platforms simultaneously. Evidently they're mistaken, i don't mind waiting (i'm used to it by now) for DLCs when XBL gets 'em first, but at least when other gamesites say their DLC will be available, first thing in the morning it is. So what's the hold up with PSN? I heard that we'll have to wait till tomorrow, anybody know?

Well,it's said to be out on PS3, Xbwags and PC now. Not in all countries, of course.

Do you live in the U.S.A.? It's released later in Europe if I'm not mistaken.

Btw, does anybody have tips on how to kill those roboscorpions? They seem to have a ridiculous amount of hp.

No i live in Canada, but i'm also chatting on the Vault and even american PS3 users say it's unavailable.

My gosh, the DLC is a loot fest without reason, I don't have to earn things, they already given to me from the start.

Downloading now, how difficult is it compared to Honest Hearts?

I'm not too far into it, so I can't quite say so, but I will say that the Robo-scorpions are very tough. It usually takes about 10 shots from my YCS/186 to kill one of them. Luckily they aren't too fast.

I sencerely hope the bolded part is a typo.

So it looks like I'll be bringing the holorifle along then if they have that much HP. The holorifle was the only way I could kill Johsua Graham, I even tried laying a couple C4 down and it barely even scratched him.

No. 10 is about right, although there is the possibility that I'm remembering wrong, but it did take 6-8 at the least. Although that's on Normal mode so on Very Hard it might take a few more.

In the DLC you're giving a little pistol which is useful though, a few shots paralyses the Robo-scorpions. Plus, since it's a pistol, you can run from the Scorpions even faster.

OWB is downloading as I type this. Can't wait to talk to the Toaster and Muggy the securotron.

I just bought OWB AND Honest Hearts today, and I'm dancing from foot to foot over which one to play through first.

No, it's not, but the enemies require the correct gun and strategy to be killed, they aren't bullet spounges, only strong.

I can say anymore, it will spoil the game, but they don't have insane HP, rest assured. ;)

Does anyone here have wild wasteland? I do. I found something really cool. I'll spoiler it in case anyone here has ww.

[spoiler:665fe40dc1] I found cyber dogs playing poker. [/spoiler:665fe40dc1]

Yeah.

Overall how do you guys feel about it so far?

How funny is it?

Describe the level of immersiveness brought about by the story and appropriate dialogue and character personalities.

Is it a must have if one wishes to learn all the most important parts of the New Vegas storyline or is simply going to The Vault next month to read up on the story enough?

What order do you suggest OWB played with respect to the base game and its other DLCs?

Any suggestions/tips before one begins this DLC's questlines?

Just finished.

[spoiler:ba8ea46c5f] The conversation with my brain was hilarious. I haven't laughed like that in a while. It was fun convincing my brain to rejoin with me.
I also loved convincing the think tank that I was Mobius. You had to do a 100 Science check. It was great.
And, of you chose a non violent path with the people of big mountain, they stay there. They don't dissapear after beating the main quest line. *cough* Honest Hearts *cough* [/spoiler:ba8ea46c5f]

So anyone have a LAER yet?

Yup. It's kind of like a beefed up Laser Rifle.

Anyway, I can't say yet, since Lonesome Road isn't out yet, but I think this may be my favorite add on.

Also, stealth based players may like retrieving and upgrading the stealth suit.
