One personal side effect of shifting from console gaming to PC gaming...

I tend to have an urge to use console commands in single player games on the PC to make myself godlike and the such.
Simply put, the temptation of easy cheats really tugs at me sometimes whilst playing games on my PC.

Having such power is unknown to your average console gamer.

Anyone else experience this?

Congratuations. You are now part of the elite of the gaming community.

Learn to control this temptaion, or it will consume you.

The opposite is true for me. I'm used to PC, but recently got a PS4 to play on. I will carelessly storm face-first into dangerous situations, untill I remind myself that I can't console-command myself out of an impossible situation. Frankly, what worries me a lot more is getting stuck on terrain. A simple no-clip command will unstick you, but on playstation you basically have to just kill yourself and burn your house down (in that order)

Seriously though, console commands are a matter of discipline.
When you realize you can just console-command yourself directly to victory, it kind of loses its meaning, and you can go back to playing fairly again

I have the GECK itself, and have not explored areas and assets that I have not found in the game; with the exception of inspecting the Enclave armors in each.
While I use the console for mod testing, and/or machinima, I do not use it with my serious sessions.

This goes for FO3 and NV.

*I have never encountered the Enclave in either game ~yet.

Meh, I was tempted to cheat in games when I was a kid. Now I don't see the point. One of the aspects I love in gaming is challenge. I only use console commands or the likes when I'm stuck, confronted with bugs, or something like that. I sometimes use mods to change the balancing according to my liking, but I'd say it's about 95% to make it more challenging and 5% for convenience.

Not to be harsh, but if you feel the urge to cheat your way through a game, you are indeed part of the problem. That's why we can't have challenging games these days. IE, that's why I solved the first "puzzle" I came upon in Fallout 4 at first attempt by pressing two buttons.
