(In regards to the Fallout Timeline) It's about time someone gave props to VB. I'm also glad they mentioned FOT in there as well. Shame they killed the sequel to FOT 2 & VB :(

And man, the way MCA talks about Vegas really makes me wonder if they learned anything from Reno. lulz at his best memories from Fallout 1/2 being speech-related and the one from Fallout 3 graphics/exploration-related. Surpised?

I love how the geography of Fallout segment excludes BoS, but includes Van Buren. They prefer the unfinished sequel to the published horrible piece of shit :P

Decent preview, but too short to be meaningful in info/insights.

He doesn't have amnesia. He/she just doesn't know A. What was in the package and B. Who shot him.

For all we know he may not even know who he was delivering it to or who from (he could have been given a drop point and pick up point but no groups or people it was associated with) though we will need somewhere to begin our investigation so this may not be the case.

EDIT2: Ok, I've finished reading. I must say, this is definitely one of the better articles we've had so far. It has a lot more throwbacks to Fallout 1, 2 and even Van Buren than the others.

I liked the history of Fallout locations thing, funny how they left FOBOS out. :lol:

I am totally hyped for this now, as long as Bethesda don't step in and decide to "finish" it at some point, I'm good.
 
I like how the concept art creates some old school Fallout flair. but then again I think it always has.

Unfortunately seeing that ugly ghoul head reminds of who the big brother is.
 
At least MCA is right about his comment on FO1. "You could talk down the master at the end and go." Few games allow such choices (Arcanum and PS:T are the only 2 I can think of)

And man boobs. :shock:

I'm not sure why you're thinking about manboobs (MOOBS!), but TOEE had several non-combat endings (however, involving the player being talked down by the forces of evil rather than visa versa).

But yeah, those games are pretty rare, because, let'a admit it, after al the things the big bad has done to you, you want to pound the crap out of him, not engage in diplomacy :P


One the article: the vault suits still look like stupid jeans overalls, the guy in trench-coat still looks like he's from STALKER, but I definitely like the environs and the Western setting. Maybe, unlike FO3, this'll be playable.

Also, I'm seeing a #21 on that suit. Anyone know anything about that vault?

I don't get all the hate. It's not THAT common, and it grants the player an almost infinite amount of freedom. It worked pretty well in PS:T and Witcher, so I can't see how it's automatically bad.

wow. that article was a bit of a disappointment. not really much there. well, at least they focused on Obsidian instead of Bethesda/FO3 this time.

BioWare not only made a love interest out of a previously jail bait alien who lore stated couldn't leave her eco-suit until deus sex machina says she can, but said jail bait alien has a rabid following. And I do mean rabid, declaring their love and stuff. It's...it's scary.

I doubt they could do the same with a ghoul though...

...maybe a talking deathclaw love interest?
