I dunno if GOT S8 really fucked up the lore all that much. Wasn't it just badly written?

I haven't played ME3 and it's been years upon years since playing ME1&2 so I don't remember much of that but didn't it just have a godawful ending that took all the choices made up until this point, threw the consequence out the window and reduced it to 3 coloured buttons? That's not really a lore fuckup, it's just failing to live up to expectations of choice and consequence and abandoning the reactivity design that it was founded upon.

Fallout 4 on the other hand, well, I mean, it fucked up its own lore. Like what it itself establishes it contradicts, the fact that it fucks up past lore is just a bonus.

Yeah I am going Fallout 4, I didn't play much mass effect and GOT just plain fucked up, although not the lore "much" (well in one season at least, they been fucking up the books lore for 3 seasons hahaha).

ME fucked up on the ending, which thankfully they fixed.

GoT was never meant to be faithful to the books as not much in film is often faithful to the books.

Fallout, well they win since they had no excuse. Bethesda owns all rights to the previous Fallout games/lore/etc and still decided to fuck shit up on purpose.

Can you put Fallout 76 in the voting section? I think that game fucked up even more lore than Fallout 4.

You know you've made it when you contradict your own lore, and the lore you are contradicting contradicts the lore you didn't even created yourself in the first place.

It takes an insane amount of not giving a fuck about internal consistency and lore to pull this off, but Bethesda somehow did it.

Probably ME 3. Not totally sure, but i've heard ME 2 was Ok.
fallout lore was already messed by fo3. There wasn't much left to destroy.
GOT lore was already messed by S5, S6 and S7. There wasn't any expectation left.

I can't really vote on this poll.
I never watched any GoT ever and only played ME and ME2, never the third...

Game of Thrones didn't ruin its lore as far as I'm aware. It was just a season full of bad writing. The show has had bad writing for a number of seasons now, it did not start with season 8.

Mass Effect 3 also did not ruin the "lore" from what I know, since ME1 and ME2 did not really build lore that could be easily contradicted. What Mass Effect 3 did was add the Crucible which many groaned at how cliché it was and the Leviathan DLC just made the entire story even more cliché by building on the poorly executed "synthetics vs organics" revelation in the ending.

Now Fallout 4 did contradict previous lore. So much so that toxic Bethesda fanboys started retroactively editing Nukapedia to make the lore make sense if you knew Fallout 4's additions to the "lore" and then read wiki entries, noticing the contradictions. One such contradiction being that the Enclave made Mk. II Power Armor post-war yet in the Commonwealth X-01 Power Armor (Mk. II) could be found in previously unexplored locations. That and the fact that they portray it as having been made before the war, which is the real contradiction.

Fallout 4.

From I can tell, GOT didn't fuck up its lore, it just suffered from the writing.
Same with ME3, even though I like ME3 as a whole.

F4 actively went out of its way to fuck up established lore. It even contridicted itself, that is just lazy writing.

GoT was never meant to be faithful to the books as not much in film is often faithful to the books.
Lol what? They never had any intention of doing anything other than adapting the books but GRRM put out like one book right after the show started and failed to produce another given literally 4 years. The show caught up to the books and the writers were then left with nowhere to go but shitty fanfiction.
