[RESOLVED] Wasteland 2 Director's Cut camera angle issues

Am I doing something wrong?
Nope, same here. CRPG stands for Cameraman Role-Playing Game for quite a some time. Also the camera angle tends to change its direction randomly after entering or leaving buildings, the fun never ends..

I backed it. It's a good game; but it had many problems. They have patched, and patched, and even re-released it on a different version of Unity.

My problem with it was the lack of credibility in many situations... Like inside this Agricultural Center Infirmary for instance.

I think this is more of a Unity problem. The recently released ATOM RPG, for example, is also on Unity and has camera-rotation feature. It's.... clunky as fuck, so annoying. And it doesn't help I'm playing on really old ass laptop, too. I remember trying Wasteland 2 on free weekend, and I can't exactly remember how it performed. I guess it'll be more or less like ATOM RPG if I try it nowadays.

Also, it seems you also haven't tried The Age of Decadence. It runs on Torque engine, and also has camera-rotation. But it's not as clunky, although maybe that's because it runs smoother on my laptop, and also because I really, REALLY love it. Still annoying, though, I prefer fixed camera perspective.

@Sduibek do you now belive me when I said Wasteland 2 is generally a bad game because of the homebrew style it is made in? anyways if You have a x64 bit system switch to director's cut version of Wasteland 2...

and.. yeah...
don't forget about us Fallout1 fans waitting on that next batch of files to test before FIXT v0.90b

As for myself I'm going to replay diablo1 since couple of days ago it went up on gog.com and it's pretty cheap. Guess when smebody hieres guy from cdprojekt (both witcher game and gog.com owner) as a Diablo 4 director, You have to count in some side deals, such as d1 going to gog.com.
some other games such as warcraft 1&2 are also going to gog.com in the nearest future.

It is not the reason i had to put WL2 on hold, but the way they handled camera was a big turn off for me. But it doesn't mean moving camera is always awful. It was great on the Myth series.

I haven't tried it, but I heard good things about this:

Don't know if it's still updated for the latest version or not, though.
I'll check it out! Some folks on RPGCodex said the original version suffered less camera issues than the Director's Cut version so I'm taking a look at that as well.

I backed it.
@Gizmojunk I backed it too, at the 150$ level which makes this situation even more disappointing for me.

I never forget you all :)

I didn't know Diablo 1 was even purchasable digitally anywhere, that's awesome! For many years you could only get it from Ebay, Amazon, etc as a physical CD. Diablo is my favorite action-RPG series. If you like D1, check out The Hell and the hi-res mod, both are excellent:

I remember playing the original Myth when it came out! So much fun.

That's the point I'm telling You all about this D1 went up on gog.com about 3-4 days ago so it's kind of new.

as for the mods i did try beelzebub in the past but i find it awkward i'd prefer to stick to the original, perhaps if somebody releases Hellfire as a digital re-release i might try it someday. I especially liked the oils however it seemes that hellfire is a 16 bit app because it throws out an error on my x64 bit setup saying that it's not designed to run on a x64 bit system, so tough luck beating that.

I didn't have too many issues with changing WL2 (not DC) and ATOM's camera angle/zoom, guess I have higher tolerance on stuff like this.
