it was announced not to long ago, that instead of bobbleheads for new vegas we would be searching for snowglobes. But it was also said that the snowglobes would not permanently raise your SPECIALS or skill stats, but would provide some other positive effect...

any ideas?

I'm not to sure what they would do it not buff stats. The use of "permanently" leaves the chance of temporary buffs, but that's kinda lame as either an hours latter the globe is useless or else I carry it around and keep shaking it for +10 science like some non-pharmacologic Mentats.

Worse than stats will be if they somehow affect reputation with certain factions or access to certain areas.
