Anyway, checked back for the last year and couldn't find a topic on this, so I decided I'd make one.

About a month ago, I went to an event called Earthcore, a large three day rave in the middle of nowhere. As a Criminal Justice student (and recently, graduate), I previously had no experience in the area of narcotics apart from the occasional cone and/or joint. To cut a long story short (since I am pissed and the last few lines tooke me five minutes to write legibly), in two days i had all of a sudden taken cocaine, speed and ecstacy.

And it was awesome.

It was a bit of a shock. Spending most of my life hearing that drugs were bad and finding out they were, in fact, awesome, rad, and possibly gnarly too.

Anyway, this thread has multiple purposes. You can submit your opinion on drugs and their users, submit your experiences with drugs, or any talk about drugs in general. Or you can tell me how much of a loser I am for thinking that drugs are awesome. Honestly, I'd just like to hear about what you've experienced with drugs, first or second hand.

When I'm sober, maybe I'll go into detail about my incredibly chaotic first time with pills and whatnot.

cocaine, speed and ecstacy in two days? that's a pretty hefty combo to have your first (hard) drug experiences with. might i advice some moderation, Volkov? if you're not careful you'll hurt yourself or someone else...

as for drug experience? i've tried most stuff that doesnt require needles (or that rots your teeth/brain at a very fast rate, like brown hero, crack, liquid xtc and such).

i was a longtime joint user, but never used any other drugs a lot except for the occasional experimenting. i'm totally clean now (with the exception of booze).

coke is nice, but might lead to some errection problems (or at least that's what they told me. dunno how valid that is. either way, it's still pretty expensive last time i checked.).
speed is something i rather steer clear from (hell, i dont even drink red bull).
and then xtc? well, i find it a rather dangerous drug since it can lead to you fucking everything that has 2 legs and 2 titties (and sometimes you might not even be that discriminating).
also be warned that liquid xtc isnt actually xtc and that it is a lot more dangerous (at least, overhere). i've seen a guy (that i didnt know) die due to a liquid OD, enough to put me off that drug forever, that's for sure.

Of course drugs make you feel awesome. Why the fuck would people do them and spend money on them if it didn't make you feel this way? Peer pressure can only go so far. Basic logic is all you need to figure this one out.

Oh but hey, what could possibly be bad or habit forming about something that makes you feel uncommonly and immensely euphoric for a short period of time?

Be sure to emphasize your valuable experience as you seek a career in Criminal Justice.

That's a dangerous mentality to have. You don't get the point. Drugs aren't bad because they make you feel awesome, they're bad because they're destructive and addictive, hence what you've been hearing all your life.

I won't criticize you for trying it once, but I will criticize the simplicity of "drugs are awesome". That's perfect material for an addict. You've had your fun, now stop before something bad happens.

Also Volkov...as someone who's seen what drugs can do let me tell you to stop while your not yet addicted. I dont know what surprises me more...the fact that your a student of law or the fact you started with multiple heavy drugs and not one light one.

My next door nieghbors are a married couple. The woman works alot as a medical technician and makes plenty of money. The man is unemployed and admitted to me that he has a history of drug abuse and is currently seeking rehabilitation. They have three kids.

I've lived in the current apartment I'm in a few months and in that time I noticed the man kept listening to loud music without turning it down and seemed to be home at all times when I was home. I was surprised...it didnt seem like appropriate behavior and I also wondered when he would get a job. As the weeks went on I often saw he perchance outside walking around with an odd look on his face. I knew it had to be drugs.

A few days ago he disappeared. The woman found all the money in their account withdrawn and she's currently taking care of all three kids at once. I vehemently admire her dedication and am very glad she worked to get such a great job since she can make enough money to take care of herself and one or two kids (she's getting help from family for the rest).

I've taken a number of drugs and most of them are pretty fun but I would never spend my own money on them. The best drug by far is alcohol and i'd take a keg of beer over a lb of weed or a kilo of coke.

These days I would even think twice before messing with cannabis, though. In my country the minimum sentence for possession of the smallest quantity of weed is three years in prison and maximum is 15 years. That's absurdly high, as even war criminals get away with less. We are the only country in the world where lighting up a joint is a greater crime than lighting up a village.

There's nothing wrong with doing a little coke, speed or extacy now and then and the people who tell you not to are usually born again christian scum who preach nothing but hatred.

I'm not saying all drugs are good, fuck, everyone should stay the hell away from crack and meth. But to demonize all drug use is just silly.

Tried everything except of heroin with more or less awesome FX.

I've decided to just smoke weed because it's the most fitting drug for me.

So yeah... weed's awesome.
M&M's (Magic Mushrooms) are allright like a few times a year on special ocasions like festivals.
(I like stuff that comes from the 'nature'. Sure weed and shrooms are mostly grown in articial habitats (hydroponic plantations, shroom boxes, etc.) but I hope you get the pont.)

Everything else is pretty dangerous and therefore I prefer to stay away from the 'synthetic' shit.

Oh, and I don't need to watch TV to learn how "awesome" drugs are, when I can gain that knowledge by simply talking to (or visiting grave sites of) any of my acquaintances who had their lives and families destroyed through wonderful awesomeness of drug abuse.

Mostly because i can't afford them. I live off of 530 bucks a month and a substantial portion of that goes towards alcohol so I don't have neccissary funds to be a drug addict. If i did I'd probably just buy more booze though
