The Complete Fallout 1 & 2 Artwork

.Pixote.

Antediluvian as Feck
Modder
I wish to pass onto the Fallout modding community these image files. They consist of every artwork from Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 laid out in their individual categories (as found in the Fallout mapper) – Critters – Items – Inventory – Misc - Scenery – Tiles – Walls.

Each individual artwork has a corresponding number (PID order from the Mapper), name/description, and for the walls their individual direction (i.e. East/West). These files could be considered very useful for modders, (when they need to find individual artworks without having to scroll through the several thousand that were built by Black Isle) or for any fan who would like to appreciate the beauty of the original artwork. There 23 files all up at with a combined size of 22mb. You can down load each individual file, or all of the images in one compressed file…enjoy.

wow .Pixote. MASSIVE stuff

I can only imagine the amount of work you must have done to need all this sorted out this way...

:salute:

6 months to do all that…and it was done back in 2005. I filled a writing book from cover to cover just to write down all of the details and descriptions. But it is invaluable when you need to find that something special for your map, without having to scroll through endless artworks. At the time I didn’t have much understanding of the Fallout mapper, and so nothing eventuated from my efforts. But for a modder it’s very useful. I hope people use them…

Back some time ago I wished someone would do this, it'd make things a lot more easier. Know that I appreciate this.

Nice list .Pixote, very helpfull! (sorry for gravedigging)

But what I noticed is that these wall tiles are missing in your picture (or I am blind ;D )
It's just a small addition, because people often forget them as they are not in the FO2 files.

It's the same with the blueish cave walls and some Shady Sands huts. ;)

Yeah, thats the stuff from Fallout 1...I only did the artwork from Fallout 2, because the mapper hates Fallout 1.

This might be a very intense request but is there a list of all the animation gifs from Fallout 1 + 2? This is very useful and I will use them but how do I animate the characters that are included without well animations lol?

You ARE a crazy person! Your dedication is astounding, I can't even begin to fathom how much time and grief you have saved modders. Rock on .Pixote!

That took about 6 months to organize - there were about 8000 files to categorize and name. It is very helpful when you need to find a tile or scenery artwork in the official mapper.

There are stuff in inventory that I've never seen while playing. I'm so pissed, I'm gonna find them right away
By the way, I saw Macticator's ear in inventory, how does one get that. I always got my own ear torn off.

Per Jorner's Nearly Ultimate Fallout 2 Guide:
If you have about 115 HP or fewer and the Masticator hits you, you may get the message "In the heat of the fight, the Masticator tears your ear off." If you look in your inventory you'll now have a Player's Ear item... and your CH drops by 1 permanently. This is not so good, so you should probably do what the game says and reload. If you keep fighting, though, and have Unarmed at about 160% or higher, you may end up with a Masticator's Ear as well - vengeance is sweet! No use for it, I'm afraid, but it's worth $750. In the unpatched version losing your ear could give you a bonus to your CH, because the command to change the stat was being used incorrectly. This bonus would be equal to your current CH minus one, except if this would take your new CH above 10 in which case nothing would happen
