The Initiate meeting The Vault Dweller in Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, and The Chosen One in an interesting way, meeting & interacting with their grandfather in Fallout 2.

The fallout bos version is exactly what I imagined Vault Dweller would do after the ending. Rhombus also mentions vault dweller could become a Paladin. I also thought the 3 raider gangs would have a war to settle at mariposa base and vault 15. And maybe they were trying to tunnel their into vault 15 command center. Something similar happens in fallout 3, raiders at springvale are trying to reach vault 101 by tunneling their way. Maybe some developers of fallout 3 got similar imaginations after playing fallout 1.
