Nope.
I've enjoyed my time with it so far, but I'd hold off for a little while yet. There are bugs and jank that are still being patched out.
I can't speak to the endgame balance. My time has been spread across two playthroughs, one co-op and one solo, and I keep the solo playthrough behind the co-op because we're going through it blind together. I mention this because co-op, as I am playing it, requires the use of Hamachi to set up a VPN between us in order for direct IP connection to work. I'm on steam, he's on GoG. Hamachi isn't difficult, but it's an extra step required for something that should just work. It was convenient enough for me because I already had this VPN set up for Victoria II and Halo with this person.
