First time out of the vault
Today is 1 year since ZeniMax Media Inc. and Bethesda Softworks released Fallout 4 for sale and I still didn't purchase and play Fallout 4.

Anyone else who managed to not purchase Fallout 4 still to this day today still?

I think I finally understand why people react to stuff that happened forever ago as though it were still relevant. Because honestly it feels like this tragedy just hit stores a month ago. That's how bad it was.

I haven't.

Half because I don't have a great PC right now.

And half because I'm waiting for it to be 90% off or something on a steam summer sale.

I'd prefer to just pirate it, and ensure they get no money at all, but I also dislike breaking the law.

I like breaking the law, but ended up purchasing FO4, because I had just bought a Playstation and felt a what-the-hell-ish kind of impulse

Oh boy, does it run like shit?

My fallout 3 GOTY runs like absolute balls on my PS3, especially in the pitt, and the hillbilly DLC.

It ran okay on my ps4. Although the first game-breaking glitch occured literally 20 minutes into my first attempt at a play through. As soon as I picked up my pip-boy.

Oh wow, that's a fucking terrible start... XD

Runs okay, but has staggering loading times. I have come to learn loading times are a given on consoles (PC master race 4ever!) but FO4 had some serious loading still, the kind where you can go take a shower while waiting

I also got a game-breaking glitch, in the start of the game, timed in such a way that you really have to start from the very beginning when it happens (it freezes up at a short cut-scene right before allowing you to play the game in earnestness, after finishing the ridiculous introduction with the vault tek guy and the nuke and stuff)

A lot has allready been said about FO4, one thing that hasn't been said to death yet is the facial expressions in your character. I guess this was another "look what we can do"-factor, flaunting responsive animation, but my jesus how irritating it got "Yes, I can do that for you =D" "No, I'm busy right now :'/"
Prepare to grin like a maniac every time you agree with someone - so naturalistic!

I finished it, complaining and cursing all the way through, then let it gather dust. I picked it up again recently, I was without internet for a while, and that's often when I do weird stuff like that, but I just couldn't deal with the facial expressions, even with all the rest of the game, I could brave through it, but the facial expressions finally got the better of me. It is unlikely I will ever play FO4 again.

I'm so grateful for the financial involvement of Donald's brother Robert on the board at Zenimax that made Fallout 4 possible. I think the game was just terrific. I talked to the critics, I love the critics--it was tremendous, they all agree it was terrific. It has the best words. I think I'll buy it again.

What? How can you guys not buy and love this game? AngryJoe himself stated that this game holds your attention better then New Vegas. God that guy is such a Bethesda shill and tool.

Since I preordered that shit game Aliens colonial marines (and found out it was SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTT), and played Dwarf Fortress, I have become a near physical embodiment of elitist gamer.

I can accept downsides in games, as long as there are upsides which make up for it.

Fallout 4 is just a shit game, in nearly every aspect.

Its not as good a FPS as STALKER, its not as good an RPG as Fallout, its not as good a building game as Minecraft/From The Depths/Etc.

Its mediocrity in game form, garbage.

Says the guy with the attention span of a high schooler taught with smartphones. (No joke he is.) Small, rapid gains do hold your attention, but the excitement burns out faster.

Starbound's my new crafting fix after Terarria. Well worth the price, and the STALKER games all have visual overhauls, so there's that too.

I bought the game, and the season pass. Because I'm too chicken to pirate it and I wanted to see how the shitty DLC's would turn out and wanted to get the season pass at it's cheapest before the price raise. Though I did pre-order the game.

I both extremely regret, and don't regret at all every decision I've made. I hate the fact that I wasted time and money on the game, but I'm glad I got to see it all for myself to strongly reinforce every single hateful emotion I feel for this game. I have every single right on the planet to judge this pile of crap. That is my one piece of comfort in buying it.

I pre-ordered it and bought the Season Pass.

The game was bad, really bad.
I kind of enjoyed Far Harbor, but it's just a weaker version of Point Lookout.
Nuka World was the point in which I stopped completely.

I'll prob buy it again somewhere down the line in a few years, when it's worth pretty much nothing, just so I can force myself through another playthrough and bring back all the memories of how bad it actually is.

But yeah, it sucks, like a lot. I can't say I regret it through as it has influenced me on a game I'm planning to work on, so I guess there's that.

Played on a friend's console for a while, after a while for the sake of absurd completed it on the PC. It was sluggish experience, all the same.
