Twin Peaks

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
Anyone watching the new season? Anyone watched any previous seasons/Fire Walk With Me?

If there is something that can be said about Twin Peaks is that there is nothing else like it out there, specially this last season. So if you are bored of the same old cookie cutter crap then this might be your cup of coffee.

I talked about it a little in The Order recently. I definitely like how they constantly subvert expectations with the newest series. Instead of us getting regular Agent Cooper back we get two totally new versions of him that appeal in different ways. The last episode was some of the trippiest shit on TV in recent memory. I am still a new fan of the series, so I don't have 20+ years of baggage like some hardcore fans.

I first saw Twin Peaks around the late 90's, but I wasn't too much into it, my sister watched it mostly. In the early 2000's I was becoming a Lynch fan because of the movies, and then around 2008 I realized Lynch was responsible for Twin Peaks and decide to revisit it, watching it from the beginning. Been a fan of the series since.

It certainly helps to understand the new season if you have been watching Lynch films these 20 years after Twin Peaks. Lynch has evolved and took that evolution into the series.

I need to watch his movies because I have not done that. I see how they tie into his style for sure.

I heard that shit was really similar. Guess that proves it.

The revival is real.

It's real.

CLICK ON OLD JOURNAL ENTRIES.

"A ten-dimensional being looking down on our universe could see all of our internal organs and could even perform surgery on us without cutting our skin. This idea of reaching into a solid object without cutting our skin. This idea of reaching into a solid object without breaking the outer surface seems absurd to us only because our minds are limited when considering higher dimensions, just like the minds of the Polygons on the Council.

Second, if these ten-dimensional beings reached into our universe and poked a finger into our homes, we would see only a sphere of flesh hovering in midair.

Third, if these ten-dimensional beings grabbed someone who was in jail and deposited him elsewhere, we would see that person mysteriously vanish from jail and then suddenly reappear, as if by “magic,” somewhere else. In many science fiction novels, a favorite device is the “teleporter,” which allows people to be sent across vast distances in the blink of an eye. A more sophisticated teleporter would be a device that would allow someone to leap into a higher dimension and reappear somewhere else.”

------

"We will have to reconcile with the question that if someone from outside our familiar world gains access to our plane of existence, what ramifications will that entail? There might be forces at work from deep dimensional space, or from the future…or are these one in the same? Think of the events that could have splintered time? The things that could have laid the seed for a starting point for this development? Perhaps technological innovations or the assassination of President Kennedy?"

I love Twin Peaks.

I love the original series. It's a huge influence on my work as a writer.

I even like the shows influenced by it.

I also love the novels and I'm rewatching the original series from episode one before I watch the new series.

I adore the show.
I was able to watch the newest season, but I've moved so now I don't have much of a chance to watch it unless I find it.

But also a big Lynch fan, Eraserhead and blue velvet are among my favourite films.
It influenced the script to a short film I wrote years ago.

I just managed to download the first one. The others still are unable to download or play. I bet the fans are crashing te servers XD

EDIT

Ok, inspired by the WAV's I searched for some EVP's. I play the first one and is creepy AF, and I had no better idea than to do it just before going to sleep.

Season Two only gets bad enough to fast forward around halfway through. Wait a minute. This might help.

Skip any of the shit involved with James and that whore who kills her husband. Also the Nadine shit can be skipped if you really want near the end of Season Two.

Yeh, but plot stuff happens in those episodes in between the parts of James and the whore... I think
