Unusually low Steam rating...

Here's what happened. A drama. Gamers living in EU region suddenly woke up and saw that their version of favourite game now changed to Russian, even with the RU tag in the name. The most shocked and buttmad players are from Poland, Czech Republic and other eastern europe chernoslovakians. People that are living in fear of "russian invasion" and "crimean scenario". What is this? Bethesda trying to defame New Vegas and Obsidian using such disgusting way. Again.

Hey, not really. But be damn sure that there isn't a Fo4 RU or Skyrim RU. This should be fixed for yesterday.

But bugthesda being behind it? Seems a bit of stretch to me.

It is more lkely a bug, at least I hope so.

If not, well more hate for betheshit.

Holy shit, all the 40 k of reviews are gone. Now there are 108 mixed reviews!

They changed Fallout NV version to RU, the score dropped by half and people are mad. Seems like the thing they would do.

Fuck those guys, they keep getting worse and worse, as if Creation Club was not the worst thing in existence.

PS: Most good mods like Project Nevada no longer work because of that. Screw those assholes

It is most likely change of ID. I mean I had this bug a few times, but you could work around it. Now it seems the RU version add .nam files that screw up all the mods you have installed.

So you have to do some merging. I am sorely tempted to buy GOG version, right about now.

Don't buy the game AGAIN, that'd give them MORE money.

You own the game, get an 'online' copy, its legal in most places.

I know, I do not like pirating, since it does not work with most mods on nexus nowadays. However, giving betheshit a single penny is the last thing I want to do.

Maybe, if NV cost like next to nothing on GOG, I would buy it. Other than that, I really want to see internet reaction for this.

Can't you just use Steam key to activate the GOG version or it's something Bethesda not wanted to be happening?

I do not think that would work. I bough NV, at least 3 years back. And I doubt the code for it is compatible with GOG.

This code doesn't look like one of ours. Please check that you entered the code correctly.

Does not work. Bloody hell, when I finally can give rating, I get RU version, which the least number of people have got.

Damn that betheshit.

People can't play in Russian, you know? Mods not working? Exploitation of rusophobia? Hello? The pic is not for fancy cover.

Also remember once russians were locked from giving steam reviews for New Vegas, be sure 'twas purely coincedence and a bug, not related to the fact that people from there usually singing praises to New Vegas but giving hell to Fallout 3.

Giving bethesda's history of bugs, it's their responsibility and on their conscience, all the flame and hate they get, totally deserved and on point.

I am not really sure myself. They appeared only when my version changed to RU. I think they have to do something with russian version of the game. They are most likely not translations, since their weigh is a few kilobites. Honestly not sure. I deleted them as soon as I saw them, just in case.
 
The .nam files I know about are to automatically activate some .esm files.
For example in FNV's Courier's Stash DLC (also known as Crap Packs) it comes with .nam files so when you start FNV it will activate the crap packs. I bet there have been people around here who wondered why they got the crap pack stuff on a game start even with the crap packs .esm not activated on their mod manager. That was because of the .nam files.

They can and should be deleted since they also activate the crap packs on GECK and you will have to disable them every time you open whatever mod you're working on unless you want to have them as dependencies of your mod.
 
So hang on what !? Is this for all us on NV or us it only in specific country? Mine seems to be fine it has no RU thing. I live in Europe by the way bit I guess that comes under UK
 
It is in some countries, if I understand correctly more like eastern europe countries.
I think it might be something related to Cenega, since it has the publishing right in those regions.
The RU version has extra Cenega protection on it.

Yeah mine seems fine. Its not come up with the RU thing. So yeah its not effecting the UK. It must just be the eastern europe countries then. Had a panic for a moment though
