inXile has submitted Wasteland 1 to GOG.com and Steam for approval, which means that soon you'll be able to enjoy those games through your favorite game distributor. That, at least, is what inXile announced in its latest Wasteland 2 update.

If you're a backer of either Wasteland 2 or Torment: Tides of Numenera, you should be able to find your key for the game through respectively the Ranger Center or the Torment pledge management system. The game is already available for backers.

inXile also included this pretty amazing fan song by Gavin Dunne.

Now I'm just gonna wait for the day when GoG has a 60% sale on W2 and gives W1 for free.

I'm a cheap bastard.

I can't think of a better way to support InXile and ensure they make enough money to keep making great games!

I dunno, its ok I think, but I would like it more without the lyrics to be honest. Like ambience. I could totally see it as background to some kind of area you visit.

That's what I think too.

Have been playing Wasteland :) it's a pretty decent remaster. I tried playing the original a while back but it was too much of a pain. This version is very playable for lazy modern gamers like me.

The old school graphics are charming. It reminds me of my old ZX Spectrum Dizzy/double dragon days.

If waiting a game to go on sale is a sin, I'm doomed. But sometimes, you just can't wait...

I know what you mean, but eh, I don't have much time on my hands these days, for video games, that is, so waiting in my case is, aside from profitable, the only sane solution.

imagine how many futures will be crushed by Wasteland 2, after its release, how many students will screw up their exams? How many pupils miss their tests? Or go to school totally overtired.

I had no idea they did a little remaster of WL1. That kicks ass.
They really had too, because most of the story originally was in a separate book. I would guess a lot of the work they did was to integrate that text into the actual game.

My Lord, do the new smooth portraits look horrible, or is it just me? Also, did the original Wasteland have any music at all?

Exactly the reason why I'm putting it off for now.
WL1 took helluva lot of my time, I imagine the sequel will take even more.
