What games are you looking forward to most?

Right now, I've only got two:

Deux Ex 5, which I hope won't take five years since they chopped Deus Ex: Mankind Divided up to make.

Cyberpunk 2077, which I expect WILL take five years or more.

I'm all out of steam for just about every other franchise now.

We already have a thread for this:

Could someone merge these two?

I am quite curious about the Cyberpunk 2077 too. Lately we only have the Shadowrun cRPGs for the cyberpunk feel.
I think the genre is disturbingly lacking in cyberpunk settings, another settings lacking in cRPGs are westerns, pirates, supernatural (low fantasy and with stuff like ghosts, big foot, werewolves, evil leprechauns and whatever else like that) and space ones. We have too many zombies, post-apoc and fantasy ones at the moment.
I am not into gaming much anymore since I don't have money to spend on games, so I don't really know much about upcoming titles :hide:.

I don't know of any upcoming games I'm looking forward to apart from resident evil 7. but id love an alien isolation 2 or an evil within 2... a half-life 3. another legacy of kain. I don't know. tides of numenara is up there though.

Shenmue 3 is certainly at the top for me (it's been 15 years).
Final Fantasy VII remake. Cyberpunk 2077 and Torment are also up there.

Oh yeah, I heard of FFVII remake, I am quite curious to try that one once it's out.
I had no idea they were making Shenmue 3 :o I always wanted to play the Shenmue games but i never had the consoles they were released for. I don't even know if they made pc versions of those games by now.

The Underrail expansion, Wasteland 3, whatever Iron Tower Studios comes out with next (Age Of Decadence), System Shock remaster and Resident Evil 2 remaster.

I think that's about it for me.

[edit]

Oh wait, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord and Outlast 2.

Honestly? Not a single one comes to mind.

I literally cannot think of a single game I am looking forwards to...

Maybe the official full version of Dwarf Fortress? But that's like...Not gonna happen for at least a decade.

I can't say anything from EA/Gearbox/Bethesda/Blizzard/(and a few other companies), because I'm explicitly not supporting those business practices.

So...

*Insert decent cheap indie game here*? That's what I'm looking forwards to?

Maybe the sequel of Rule The Waves?

Not to mock your stand, which I admire but....can't you just buy games second-hand?

I could.

But half the time the games are fucking garbage anyway.

Halo is as shit as it ever has gotten, same with CoD and BF, so that's all the FPS AAA series dead.

Most games nowadays are multiplayer, and I fucking HATE meaningless multiplayer skirmishes.

Additionally, you can't buy digital second hand games...And 90% of the PC games in stores are steam copies.

Shenmue 3 is getting a PC release (so far it's console exclusive to PS4).

But there had been talk of a HD remaster for the first two and honestly, no game needs it more than those two.

I'll be 100% down for a Shenmue remaster. I know they are frowned upon and over done, but it's the one that needs to happen.

joevonzombie already mentioned Torment Tides of Numenera, which I'm most hyped for, so I'll try and think of others.
  • Stygian, Reign of the Old Ones
  • No Truce with the Furies
Ok, that's about it.

Tides of Numerena, looking foward for good localization aswell. Crossed my fingers for not being another title pushing "gender studies", that would really suck.

Fallout: Mutant Rising. Looks promising.

Cyberpunk 2077. Mostly for possible 2077 PnP coming next and multiplayer.

The other, next CDPR's RPG.

KOTOR2 ported over to Android OS.

We already have a thread for this:
Yeah, threads should be merged.

Can't wait for GWENT, beta is looking quite promising.
Tormen could be good, but i'm not huge fan of squad-based RPGs.

I just pirate games from huge companies, especially games made or published by bethesda. I would only buy F:NV if they put it on GOG.

  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Next Metro game
  • Divinity Original sin 2
  • Kingdomcome Deliverance
  • Torment: Tides of numenara
  • Wasteland 3
  • GWENT
  • Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
  • Long war 2 mod for xcom 2
  • Couple of Fallout classic mod
  • Final fantasy VII Remake

Dawn of war 3

Torment: Tides of Numeria

The Space Ship RPG that´s being made by the same company that made age of decadence.

Cyberpunk 2077 (and whatever else CDPR comes up with) and Kingdom Come: Deliverance are probably the only big budget/publisher games that I'm really looking forward to. There's a bunch of smaller and indie titles that I'd love to play (like Stygian for example). Call of Cthulhu looks nice too, but I don't hold my expectations high.

Other than that, nothing. Indie titles are where the good fun is at, and I rarely hear of good titles until after they are released. Word of mouth is still the best advertisement for me.

That being said, I am probably one of the few that are absolutely NOT looking forward to Torment. I love Ps:T, but after playing Wasteland 2...I don't think inXile can make a worthy successor/spiritual sequel/whatever to original Torment.
I also don't care about WL3. I am deeply disappointed in Fargo and don't think I will give them another cent.

Edit: I'd really, really, really, REALLY be fucking happy if we get a proper RTS game.
