What kind of weapons do you want to see in F3?

1. More sci fi weapondry (New energy weapons and unheard of guns/melee, basically no reallife weapons)

2. More realistic (guns/melee you would find in reallife but also with some laser, plasma, pulse weapon, kinda like the way fallout tactics weapondry was going minus the ww2 era weapons)

3. More Vintage (more old guns/melee ww2 era)

I vote 2, what do you guys vote? Just want to know what the majority of people look for in weapondry for F3 or any mod/game (ex: like Bourgeoisie)
 
I want to see all the weapons from fallout1, neatly modeled to look *exactly* like the original frm from fallout1.
All the weapons from fallout2, except the real-life one's, wich should be altered to look like some made-up ones. They should have the same damage, range, and so on, but a differant name and discription, along with a new image of a more fallout-ish gun that doesn't exist in real life.
for example changing the H&K caws to "better-combat shotgun-then-the-other-combat shotgun"

maybe a new weapon or two, but not too many, as that would make me wonder where the hell they were in the previus games :?
 
I wanna see more unique weapons, like "a box of plasma toothpicks" and "a lethal fart in a bottle". OMG that would be teh COOL!!!!!

Nah, same weaponry as Fallout 1. Maybe some more melee weapons. Oh, and more thrown weapons as well (usefull ones).

How about "an HIV infected mosquito in a glass jar (damage +666)" or "a bag of razor sharp toenail clippings" (as a throwing weapon, of course, but that goes without saying, I suppose)? :wiggle:

I'd like to see grenade launchers and the return of different shotgun shells.
Basically category '2'...there need to be energy weapons otherwise it wouldn't be fallout ....same for normal weapons but old pre war (ww2) would be so old that to function most would have had to have been refurbished or customised in some way.
Dual fire mode weapons like an assault rifle fitted with a grenade launcher or flamer would be nice
 
I'd liek to see dual-wielding. Like, have one weapopn in one slot and the other weapon in the other and you can fire both at the same time,so it would say:
Single->Aim->Burst (If it has it)->Reload (If possible)->Dual wield

Of course it would take up more APs and accuracy would go down.
 
I think a better system for dual wielding would be a reduced AP cost for firing at the cost of accuracy. (IE, pull the trigger of one gun, then the other, both at maybe half AP, but a little more than half accuracy.) That way both weapons are being fired seperately and would thus be (at least as far as I know) easier to implement into the game.

This action assumes the game isn't real-time, of course.
 
Dual wielding would 'look' fantastic. If you were a mutant or superstrength hero you could have a big machine gun under one arm and a rocket launcher on your other shoulder. Two automatic rifles perhaps? It would definitely make for more options anyway.
 
We've already had a thread or three about dual-wielding guns.

Other than "it's kewl", there really isn't a reason to have Jon Woo inserted into the style.

If there was gonna be dual welding guns... it should only be for pistols and maybe light smgs... with a accuracy drop of like 20%
 
I'd like to see one of those particle beam emitters or w/e they're called from those old black and white 50's movies that turn the person into a pile of bones lol. That would be pretty neat :).
 
That would be AWESOME. New laser-type weaponry: Phasers! That's perfect.

And true, having dual weapons would just be bleh. Too useless. Except for maybe big people as stated before. I would like to see fewer weapons that rely on .223, though. I've got three allies who use it (Sulik, Cassidy, and Skynet.)
 
Well, i never played max payne or anything but i feel its made the idea of dual weapons a bit cliche...shame.
I don't think enough games offer dual wielding options, in fact it's hard to think of any that do.
It would be nice to hear lots of cool weapon noises like reloading and stuff, fallout(s) does a pretty good job but the theme could be expanded upon and a greater variety of weapon sounds generally.
 
The interesting thing about dual weapons is, if the function of suppressing fire were modeled in this game they would be very very useful.

But as it stands, more accuracy is probably more important than the ability to lay out a ton of fire in the general direction of the enemy.
 
Another thing I'd like to see is just less weapons and ammo in general. It would deffinately make finding a weapon or buying one more exciting, plus i'm not sure about you but whenever I play I always end up with way to much ammo and a ton of extra guns. I'd like to see a larger selection however not guns like "Pistol, Pistol Mark II, Pistol Mark III" they need to be creative. I think its neat how you can upgrade your weapon and I think thats good enough. Anyhow, thats my 2 cents on it :P.

There's no way to make Thrown Weapons a useful skill, it's a waste of time. It's best left as a fringe-skill and weapon class.

I forgot what they did with it for VB.
 
Maybe if you can do special tricks with them, like if you're at a door and tehre's enemies on the otehr side you can do a door breach kinda thingy with teh grenade and stauff. And throw multiple knives.
 
the throwing skill could could be made more usefull by having for example the possibility to throw grenades over walls, toss them around corners, have certain thrown weapons bounce on the ground and on walls.
 
Yeah, like that.

One thing taht's something I've always wanted to do was palce an explosive on someone and wait for the boom...

And make the extra unarmed moves (Palm strike, for example) actually usefull.
